I get that JD is good, I get that the Commies have turned it around but I feel like these awards are basically QB awards now. You just don't see a TE doing what Bowers is doing let alone with no QB

Although most of us agree that he should get it, it will usually go to the guy on a winning team if it’s close.
lol, no. J Daniels went to a bad team and they turned into a playoff team, while playing the most important position in sports at the 5th best QBR ranking in the league.
If Bowers had more than 4 TDs and wasn’t on a 2-win team, maybe it would be closer.
Remove Bowers from Vegas, they’re still a 2 win team. Take Daniels off Washington and they’re not making the playoffs.
And 1,000.000% Vegas would trade Bowers and 1st to get Daniels if offered.
People who make pre and early decisions do not want to be seen as wrong. It’s an ego thing among their group. Same as why no one wanted to declare bengals dead. If bengals end up making last seed (doubtful) they don’t want others to pull their soundbytes
We would trade Bowers and two firsts for Daniels. That’s all it’s needed to know.
Bowers is good but Daniel’s has had a much bigger impact on his team. Bowers isn’t taking the raiders to the playoffs lol.

Jayden Daniels has 3k yards, completing passes at a 70% clip,and 17/6 TD/INT. Rushing, he has 650+ yards and 7 TDs. but most importantly, has the Commanders at 9-5 and gonna end his rookie year with double-digit wins.
Brock Bowers has 90 catches (4th in the League) for 968 yards (8th in yards, 10.8 YPC) and 4 TDs. He’ll end the year over 100 catches and 1k yards. He’s going to break the rookie TE receiving yards record (he’s 110 yards away from breaking it). Imagine if he had a good QB to throw it to him this year.
Bowers and Daniels are the only 2 clear-cut favorites. The voters will focus on Jayden Daniels’ red hot start and him getting the Commanders into the playoffs as the impetus for giving him the award. On the other side, they’ll focus on the Raiders being the worst team in the league and the lack of TDs as reason for not giving it to Brock.
The League hates us and won’t allow a Raider to deservedly win RotY (see Josh Jacobs and Maxx Crosby both get screwed in 2019). He’s gonna lead ALL Tight Ends in catches and yards, and should be 1st team All-Pro.
