34. "First round QB" doesn't necessarily equal "Top 5 pick QB" – 2022 QB1 Kenny Pickett was a "first round QB" and he went at #20. Ward and Sanders would likely have been in the QB5-8 range it they came out last year – we're talking about taking a player that is arguably worse than Penix and Nix with one of the top 2 picks… it's just not the best use of draft capital.
    Maybe we win another game or two, maybe we pick at #9… and maybe Sanders is still there when we pick, because he simply isn't worth a top 5 selection.
