  1. It's absolutely wild after the Marlins hustled Dade county into throwing taxpayer money into that ballpark that just across alligator alley the Rays still have a good shot of wasting taxpayer money on building a new ballpark with the same location as the current one that has struggled nearly 3 decades to have consistent fan support. I hope the county and city board members enjoy their luxury suites at the new ballpark.

  2. they need to leave st peterburg and move to Tampa that is the damm issues, is hard for fan to drive over that bridge with that traffic, right next to the bucks stadium we have plenty of space

  3. A big reason why Pinelas county and Saint Pete want to approve it now is that even through the rays are most likely leaving… is that if the Rays break the lease, they lose the the real estate that they got.. so now the balls is in the Rays court and have lost most of the leverage

  4. he showed up with several bags filled with cash to bribe the politicians. again mlb will never expand again. angels did not sell, washington cannot get over 2 billion. twins are for sale. local revenue has collapsed people will not pay for streaming. 🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂

  5. Finally, after all these years taxpayers and (some) politicians have learned to say no to the billionaire owners. No more public taxpayer funds for private pro sports teams.

  6. I’d love to hear a deeper dive into the markets looking for a team and the “wasted” markets. Who’s up for relocation/expansion teams? Would Montreal ever be considered for the Rays since they were originally going to try the sister city thing?

  7. @npds David, you mention Vegas as being a market that MLB is wasting. Do you think it's really viable considering the percentage of customers who will be tourists from out of town and the number of games? One big recession causing people to stop flying much, it's all over. Unless they get some sort of kickback from the casinos where they will pay people not in tokens but in game tickets and they just hope that people win a lot of tickets giving out more tickets than tokens

  8. The only city ready and willing with money available right now is salt lake city. All cities need to say no to these cheap ass billionaires if they do then the owners will have to finally pay for their own buildings to house their vanity projects!
