Most people associate #24 with Rickey, but a lot of people seem to forget that he wore #35 for half of his time with the A’s. Even though they aren’t in Oakland anymore, the A’s should honor Rickey by retiring both of his numbers like the Lakers did with Kobe. That’s how much he meant to the franchise.

Well, now they’re going to a city that is further removed from #35 edition of Rickey. So I don’t think they’ll do it.
RIP Rickey! 🐐
FJF!
Should’ve done it when he was alive. Classless organization.
John Fisher probably wonders whether Rickey plays for the Yankees.
Fuck John Fisher.
There are no A’s without Rickey. That’s some other… thing in Sacramento.
They should first acknowledge his passing on IG or FB. FJF
The irony of this happening this year is unbelievable. The A’s are truly history.
What a terrible year plus to be an OAKLAND A’s fan. I’ll never forgive them for ripping that team away from us. Rest in peace legend
I’m waiting to see how FJF is gonna capitalize off Rickey’s death. It’s been almost 24hours and he hasn’t figured out a way yet, but it’s coming soon
There will never be another like Ricky. Ever. RIP my brother.
They haven’t?!?
Another reason to FJF.
If it was still Oakland then yes, but for Vegas FJF
The retired #24 for him
This entire year has been one extended kick in the balls to A’s fans. I’m sure that FJF will try to exploit this to fans, but he had the chance when Rickey was alive
RIP Rickey. Thank You!
Rickey was Oakland. Oakland was Rickey.
Agreed
Agreed. RIP Ricky
MLB as a whole should retire #35. Put him up with #42!
