  1. Does anyone else think that the money difference is a factor? I also believe Miller is difficult and a bit of a whiner.
Not to say Petterson isn't the same. Sulks too much.

  2. Tired of Miller creating a toxic atmosphere in the team every now and again when his ego demands it.
Never forget the game he tried chasing Demko (think it was) off the ice by hitting his stick on the goal, infront of live audience….that was crazy to watch.
Nah Pettersson is cool, just a kid who wants to be left alone and focus on his game…Miller, not so much👎

  3. As much as we want to kill Petey cause he has the bigger contract. I mean, Miller bumped heads with Schenn and Horvat as well. And those are just the public ones. Miller made Delia look bad when he was slamming his stick on the net for Delia to go to the bench. He was sticking his arms in the air in another game when Lankinen didn't go straight to the bench. The guy is prickly. And we've always defended him by calling him the "emotional leader." He's not the right vet for a young-ish team. He'd flourish in a locker room with more vets. Move either one, doesn't matter to me. But this issue will always hang over the team until one of them is gone.

  4. I know what it is like to have a poisonous employee. JT Miller has a problem. He needs to be sat down and told to grow up. I suspect he needs some sort of therapy. Look at the change in EP's performance when Miller was there and when he was away.
It is not possible that JT only affects EP. If he is a cancer that cannot be treated, then he must go. Not EP.

  5. At the end of the day, it is the "team" that wins hockey games and gives you "compete". I must admit that some of Petterson's self-indulging, pouty interviews have rubbed me the wrong way as a longtime Canuck fan– particularly when you are betting the future of the franchise for the next 8 years on his character. Additionally, I question whether he is the answer for the Canucks as he has not really demonstrated commitment to improving his skating, physique, and balance during his time here as well as the fact that he all but disappeared in the Playoffs last year and, in fact, the latter part of the season since signing his "franchise player" contract. He does not show any real evidence or concern about how much the franchise has invested in him and even suggested in his early contract negotiations last year that Canada, and Vancouver specifically, is too difficult of a hockey market to play in– NOT what you want to hear from a true competitor!

It makes sense to keep the player who is most passionate about winning– like Vancouver fans– and shows up when it counts. I do not hold competitiveness over Miller's head as at the end of the day hockey is a competitive sport and Vancouver is a competitive hockey market; however, if his personality is indeed overwhelming to the rest of the team as some inside analysts have suggested, then I would resign myself to moving Miller as long as the Canucks mgmt. make a SMART trade that improves the overall team competitiveness and consistency level.

  6. Is this a professional hockey team? These two need to grow up. It’s not high school. Professional athletes acting like this is disgraceful. It’s an embarrassment to the team and the fans. They are both making large amounts of money and they should be making the effort to actually earn it. The people paying their salaries are paying good money to watch the games. The fans deserve better. Just F——-G GROW UP!

  7. Pettersson’s played today like a figure skater not an NHL player. Two shots in the whole game with tons of ice time. This is NOT the same player from a few years ago.

Miller is a hard nose determined player with a winning attitude and excellent hockey IQ.

Derek Forbort had three opportunities to ice the puck when short handed and shot it directly to an Ottawa player. He isn’t NHL calibre and is a huge liability.

  8. Has this been brewing for some time? I feel like these assumptions are close to almost libel. What is the reason they aren’t getting along?

  9. Your professional athletes that get paid to play a game you love. Figure it out! We all have worked with people we don’t like getting paid way less money than athletes for doing something we don’t necessarily like. So figure it out! Maybe have to put them in the get along T-shirt lol 😂

  10. Miller made a huge mistake taking almost a month off on personal leave, and now looks like he can't keep pace with the speed of the NHL game anymore.

Best to trade him now and get something tangible back in the form of a younger player(s) that can help the team for several seasons into the future.

This would also allow the Canucks dressing room to breathe and make it a more positive work environment again.

  11. If Miller actually left for a month because of a Pettersson argument then it says a lot more about his leadership than anybody else. You don’t let the boys down even if you’re not getting along with someone. Unless it was an extreme act in my opinion Miller quit on the team.

  12. These two need to do more than " Work it out" ! They need to do more than move past it….they need to become the talents they're supposed to be, suck it up and be the solution to each others problems ,with a big two way respect. Not only on the ice, but off as well…If they can do this they will both benefit in a huge way….If they can not, we need to trade them both, as trading one will only prolong the other's difficulty and the cancerous plague of our dressing room !

  13. I’m Canucks fan but I personally don’t like petterson especially from his last years playoffs performance I would say it simply because his performance not worthy 9 years 91 millions contract many Canucks players performed better than him but much lower salary. I would like petterson if he played better but so far his performance not convinced that me he should be number 1 money guy 😂in Canucks
