  1. *All-Time

3 days later, Rickey would get his 3,000th hit which would be the same day Tony Gwynn got his last hit and last game of his career

  2. What a career. It’s crazy to think for a couple of years we had #19 and & the Man of Steal in the same outfield.

  3. We love you, Rickey.

As a formal A’s fan, I cherish all the memories. Rickey, Gwynn, and Cal were my childhood idols. RIP, and there will never be anyone like you. One of a kind.

  4. That was a terrible year, and yet one of my favorites as a padre fan. We had season tickets and I went to a solid 30 games as a 14 year old. Lots of outside baseball reasons it was good but also moments like this, Rickys 3000th and sitting in left field often for batting practice while Ricky would get along with fans. Huge Ricky fan, he will be missed.

  5. Rickey was that dude! It was fun watching him and Tony Gwynn grace the same field together as Padres! 🙏🏼
