  1. I have come to a conclusion today. It is either me or the coaches. I had things to do today so I missed almost the first full three quarters. When I started tracking the game the Colts were up 38 to 7. JT had just over 200 yards rushing. From that point on, the Colts were outscored 23-0 and JT didn't manage another 20 yards. So it has to be me πŸ™‚ All kidding aside. Today illustrated the weakness of the Colts coaching staff. Steichen' s mediocrity was on full display with taking Taylor out of the game and killing momentum. I know people blame JT last week but Steichen killed the game for the Colts with his idiotic play call. So another week with incompetence on display. And then of course there is Bradley Not much more needs to be said. Way to go Taylor with this redemption game. Those runs looked like the Taylor of old.

  2. Kent bengals play broncos next week. If Bengals beat broncos in Cincy and colts beat giants it comes down to week 18. Colts just need a 3 way tie with broncos and either Bengals or dolphins. Chargers will probably clinch next week. It sucks both these games are on Saturday. Colts will know before giants if they still have a chance

  3. We go up 38-7, and my 14 yr old son says, "Gonna be Minnesota all over again."
    I laughed at him…..

Sums up this franchise.. a middle schooler can foresee a meltdown, and coaches are still clueless.

  4. JT could have run for 300 and 7 touchdpwns and it couldn't make up for the drop.

You wont winany games with 10 attempts passing from your QB.

That being said, winning is better than losing.

  5. Can't be happy, can't celebrate mediocrity. And that's exactly what this franchise has become under Chris Ballards watch.
Wtf are we excited about? A possible 9 win season? Lmfao why so we keep smug ass ballad for another year so we can run it back again? Naa

  6. Love the Josh Downs jersey and also the hat . Downs is awesome. Taylor looked awesome. I wish he could've had more touches. When someone is hot (J.T.),Shane needs to let him keep rolling. Let J.T. rest for a play and put him back on the field. I'm not sold on Shane. Wish we could get Vrabel in as our H.C. Gus needs to go, too. There are too many missed tackles. Playing so far off the ball sucks. I'm happy we won, though. A W in the conference, and a big W in our division. Awesome. Anthony R..looked pretty good. I think he just needs time and practice and proper coaching. He's got the raw skillset. Just need to help him hone his craft. Merry Christmas to you snd yours, KentπŸŽ„. I hope that I'm the lucky one that wins the jersey.✌️

  7. Greeting Kent, Merry Christmas to you, and thanks for your post game report from Lucas Oil.

Always glad for a Colt's win so that's a good thing. Was glad to see Jonathan Taylor, and the offensive line working well today, and appreciate Jonathan's 218 yard statement.

Also Anthony Richardson's ground game contribution was significant and helpful towards winning.

Richardson's passing statistics until those numbers change and improve will remain a big concern for the future of this football team, and it's knowledgeable fan base.

We know well what winning quarterback play looks like, and we know from these performances there needs to be a fairly seismic shift. Patience? Well some more of that is fair, for how much longer is the harsh reality. We shall see.

At 38 to 7 today out in front of an opponent most NFL fans I believe would have felt confident, and a sense of calm expectation for victory.

Today I did not feel that at any point. This shouldn't be. While the game needed to be played out of course I had the right to believe the opponent's likely ability for one more score before the game's ending in victory.

    The right to believe that.

I however know far better than this. I had to waive my rights to know better, and exercise my abilities to know more.

Expecting what was to come from our opponent, and then seeing it arrive is the source and basis of my frustration.

This is what quickly removes the shine from what should be joyous victory.

Someone referred our type of intentional defensive performance in second half play as, " Bradley's Capitulation Defense ".

Known politely around the league as the, " Bend But Don't Break Defense ", lately and beginning as the, " Prevent Defense " originally.

Personally as a former player of the game, and a lifelong aficionado of this sport, I've never been a buyer or subscriber to such a defense.

Playing off ball at any time during the game will net negative results. The answer lays in the requirement of better personnel, and the absolute need at this level of football to play the full sixty minutes.

Anyways Kent, in short my belief is that the Prevent Defense prevents winning. While we in fact closed out the game with a game sealing interception the larger point is we shouldn't have had to hope for that to close out the game, and stop a scoring maelstrom that was squandering and incredibly built up lead so fast.

Yes I'll take a victory, a W, along with every fan but peeling away the happy face exposes the aforementioned reality.

I'm hopeful that someone inside the organization is not content with the mediocrity that is being consistently produced.

I'm hopeful, not confident. I'm also hopeful there is someone else in the organization who is not satisfied, and content with this.

Thanks for your season long Colt's coverage Kent, your fandom, and your reporting and fun show here. It's enjoyed, and under all circumstances.

What a season though, what a season!
