3. To answer the question quicker than this video would, no- Ehlers is NOT going to the Habs. For one, he's one of the Jets' best players, and he's not going anywhere, and second- even if he was, there's no way he'd go to a rebuilding team!

16. It’s about to get a bit crowded on the top 6 in Montreal with Laine, Slafkovsky, Caufield and Demidov. Ehlers is one hell of a player, but Habs seems to need a 2nd line Center is Dach is not getting back to his level pre injury.
    We won’t know what the needs are until the summer.
    Any team would take Ehlers though, saying no doesn’t exist.

17. Most likely Ehlers stays. I wanted to comment because he himself said he was comfortable with his minutes and doesn't want to be playing 25 minutes a game. I tried finding the article to link but I'll try and add it in reply if I can find it.
    This year, we are so much better with guys playing for a contract than having to figure out what to do with taxes amongst other things. 1 year could make a big difference.

18. Some guys play 20 minutes – some play 15. There's a reason why PoMo and Bones and now Arnie don't play Ehlers 20 minutes a night. It has to do with being injury-prone and very high octane for short bursts.

19. it is an interesting hypothesis and, as a Habs fan i would love to see it. However Montreal already has a number of top 6 forwards already in the mix and with Demidov coming in next year there may not even be room for an Elite player like Ehlers in the top 6 unless Dach completely washes out. Plus having a player like Ehlers in Winnipeg is essential to keep them in the playoff mix. Its hard to get elite talent like him to play in Canada so resigning should be a must.

21. Im a Habs fan , I would love to have Ehlers on our team , YES , its been rumors out there about him wanting to be a Hab .
    I remember when Shscheifele gave Jake a concusion , Ehlers was the guy who went to Jake and protected him after got hurt , I definitely can see Elhers on the Habs , He is a speedy winger with offensive tools , thats what Hughes wants our team to be .

26. Very good video. I think Patrik Laine is scoring PP because it's the only time he plays with decent players, Laine's 5vs5 line is quite crappy, tbh. If Ehlers would play 5vs5 with Laine – It would be very dangerous + after Demidov arrives – it would make the Habs unstoppable. Patrik is not yet 100% after being 1 year off and he's still restoring cardio and getting used to play again but happy to see the PP is already there.

28. This topic disgusts me as a Jets fan and with Nikolaj Ehlers being my top favorite Jet I can say irrevocably that Ehlers is going nowhere. The team coaches know him, and he's got the best goalie on the planet backing him up, he's getting PP1 time. The only people on social media commenting on it are clickbait articles trying to get people going. I usually don't subscribe to channels that use clickbait so let's get back to reporting actual news and not speculation please.

33. Demidov has played centre before and said he’s comfy playing there so who knows? Demidov between Laine and Ehlers ?? Then Suzuki with Caufield and Slafkovski! Sounds like a decent top 6 to me!

34. As a Habs fan do I think this will happen? No idea. But given Laine's woes with his teammates on the second line replacing one of them with Ehlers would be amazing. With them together maybe those 5 on 5 goals start coming….. A fan can dream.
