These are the only ones that I could think of off the top of my head. Do you guys know of any others? I know there is probably hundreds.

(Note that I kind of bended the rules with Jesse Chavez, because he signed back with the Braves in the middle of the season)

  1. Mike Bordick was traded from the Orioles to the Mets in 2000 then re-signed with the O’s after the season

  2. Sidney Ponson was traded from the O’s to SF during the 2003 season. He was a free agent and signed back with Baltimore in 2004 on a three year deal. He was really bad during his second stint and his personal life was a complete mess.

None of the prospects from SF came even close to working out. As with most things with the early to mid 2000’s Orioles, it was an all around disaster.

  3. Kelly Johnson flipped between the Braves and the Mets at least twice between 2015 and 2016.

  4. I believe mets traded Jeurys’ familia to the as and then for some inexplicable resigned him

  5. Damn they made a rule you can’t do it because of this guy but I can’t remember his name it was fairly recent

  6. Cardinals did this with a pitcher about 15-20 yrs ago too. Traded him to the Rangers I think. He was tall and long blond hair.

  7. Jay Bruce traded from the Mets to Cleveland in 2017, then signed a 3 year deal with the Mets again in 2018.
