  1. Great game by everyone. Felt this was Wemby's best game of the season even more than the higher scoring ones because he dominated both ends and got to check out early. This is the type of games we will see more of when the team is a contender so this is a great sign

  2. Please make Mitch the next coach after Pop. He already showed why he could be one of the best coaches in the nba. The players love him, his tactics are on point, and he improves everyone during such a short period.

  3. For people who watched the game closely and usually pay attention to details: Once Wemby got his 9th or 10th block he started to be more aggressive on the boards (with a potential triple double in mind) not with a huge success but the effort was really there, he was going for those boards no doubt.

For people who criticize him for his low rebounds numbers the last few games I really think it is a consequence of him trying to be conservative with his endurance & stamina…

Being 100% on defense AND on offense is almost impossible in today’s NBA. Right now, at his age, he just physically can’t guard his man, lurk on defense to help, protect the rim, block shots, get rebounds, then get in the paint, fight for position, do his move against double teams, score or pass… That’s just too much to ask for consecutive stretches.

So I feel like that him knowing that he now has Sochan back in the lineup who will grind on defense and fight for those boards takes a bit of load off of him, and he accepts it. It’s not that he can’t it’s more that he chooses not to burn unnecessary energy for rebounds that his team will get anyway.

He’s smarter than most people watching the games. And he knows his body better than anyone. I actually think that’s a great move despite how poor the numbers look like for a 7’5 center…
