I just hate the mindset fans have that teams can just trade up or down at will. Or the idea that just because a rookie QB looks good on one team, means he would look the same on any team. Coaching and overall personnel matters a hell of a lot.
I have seen post on here saying stick it out with AOC.
Look at Bo Nix. He’s played better then most of us expected. We clowned the Broncos for the pick saying they over reached and now he’s helped get the Broncos in playoff contention. At some point we got to stop the cycle and swing for the fences in a QB. Yes they might not pan out but at least we tried and then you try again if it didn’t work.
Worst thing we can keep doing is nothing yet expect a different result
This the dumbest take I’ve seen today. The commanders were not going to trade with the Raiders so they could get Jayden Daniels.

Of all the rookie QBs starting this year who have had ups and downs, Nix was viewed as a bust after a couple of games. JD has been steady bordering on spectacular, but he had a rough patch too. Coaching and team management mean as much as getting “the guy”. Dysfunction at the top level and coaching can mess up a young player. Drafting at the top of the draft is no guarantee of anything, let alone long-term success.
That being said, we should have given up our entire 2024 draft to get JD
