Broncos’ Sean Payton upset TV showed ‘RUN IT!!!’ on his call sheet in loss to Chargers

Maybe don’t right it in big letters with a sharpie then
I honestly thought after the sideline reporter mentioned it as they went in for the half, “well shit he isn’t gunna RUN IT!!! Now…”
He wanted that to be seen so that the Chargers would play an eighth man in the box to open up the passing game. I don’t think it worked.
His call sheet looks like a Sam’s No 3 menu.
Besides the “run it,” I don’t understand why he displays all the plays like that. Does it not give away some competitive advantage? Does he not think cameras can pick up the small print?
So that’s why we stopped running it.
You HAVE to run the ball in the playoffs. It makes my stomach hurt when SP ditches run plays for screen plays.
Maybe just use a clipboard behind it so you can’t see the playsheet? I’ve always wondered why he does that. It’s very easy to see the playsheet when they zoom in on him and he’s gotta know it happens multiple times every week
This isn’t the first time the camera has zoomed in on his play sheet, they did it last year too, to the point you could read plays off it.
Then why did you write it on the fucking sheet, Sean?! Like use a clipboard don’t write it in bold letters. This could have been easily avoided.
Hey guys, SP has been in this league for a million years. He knows what it says on the TV on his play sheet. He committed to the run early, and made sure the cameras saw the “run it” and that it would get to Harbaugh. I think his plan all along was to establish the run in the first half, make the charges think he was going to really hammer it the second half, but actually come out slinging.
Obv it didn’t work out.
But Sean Payton is a very smart coach.
He also doesn’t cover his mouth when he’s calling plays like I see other coaches do. U can read his lips.
Another thing I’ve notice about sean is he is like the only OC that doesn’t cover his mouth when he reads off plays. I’m not sure that really matters or not, I’ve just noticed when they pan to him he’s staring at the Playsheet and you can clearly see his lips when he is calling in the play where as most the other OCs cover their mouth with the call sheet.
Maybe don’t write it on the call sheet in Sharpie.
Kind of sounds like a personal problem Sean. Maybe don’t use the double sided iHop menu as a play calling sheet.
I’m so glad they didn’t show the side he was reading from was just blank and that he was making up plays on the spot during the game.
Wasn’t just that, that shot was so tight and clear you could read words. TV has to know to be careful with that shit.
Brilliant coaching against the bolts
Honestly why is he complaining about TV but forgets people can use high powered Binoculars to probably read the play sheets. Just sayin
Notice how he is always reading the opposite side?
Someone please mail a clipboard to the Denver Broncos facility for him to use. Any New England or KC shady coaching staff can easily stop the video and zoom in on the plays.
Part of the networks’ obsession with super tight close-ups, usually the side of the QB’s helmet or an untied shoelace, as they miss the personnel groups and the snap. The switchers need a slap on the head.
