I’d have to agree with everything Karl had to say here.

  1. He seemed a little bit more risk averse after the three picks from the week before. Imagine if he had hit on that deep pass to Mims. We probably win the game on that play.

  2. Or…just throwing this out there, Bo didn’t have anyone who could get open down the field before the rush got to him. Saying Bo was intentionally refusing to throw it deep is flat out wrong.

  3. Honestly dude was probably tired from Sunday and was going against one of the best defenses in the league currently, there weren’t any deep shots really available it didn’t look like either except for the mims shot downfield which should have been penalized but

  4. I figured it was part of the game plan after the previous week’s several interceptions. It wouldn’t surprise me if that were the case. Unfortunately the one deep ball was poorly thrown

  5. If this was a consistent issue throughout the season I’d get it, but we know he DOES air it out. Arguably there’s a couple games where he aired it out too much. He was probably told this week not to air it unless it’s the obvious read. I think it was a matter of our guys not getting enough separation, but also dealing with a really good defense. Smart football I think.

  6. Are you guys forgetting that Bo Nix is a rookie? My god. This sub beats dead horses. Move on to the next one. We have outperformed expectations and we have a clear line on our future. Bo nix is a rookie without clear separation style receivers. He’s doing an amazing job considered

  7. I disagree. We abandoned the run. Estime set up the scoring drive coming out the half. And Sean just stopped getting it to him.

  8. Who he is suppose to throw it down field to when no one was getting separation? Did we watch a different game?

  9. When you have drive killer Javonte taking snaps the run game vanishes. It seemed most routes were deep and covered and the pass rushers were getting to him quick. I want to see mid range routes around the sticks and just get the first

  10. And the defense decided not to cover or tackle anymore. If they had, I doubt anyone would.have noticed the passing game.

  11. This article trys to make it sound like we had guys just running free in the secondary and Bo refused to throw them the ball lol

  12. It was the penalties. I know I know we have to play better than the penalties. We gave the chargers 3 extra drives on penalties alone… the Herbert slide tackle not getting the attention it deserves. Home boy would have not hit the QB had Herbert not slide tackled his ankle. This needs to change.

  13. We have no weapon at TE, LA left the middle wide open all game and we never were able to exploit it.

  14. We’re playing with house money. The general consensus that the goal for the season was to see that Bo and Sean could build a future together. That has definitely happened. I would say we are a year ahead of schedule, but the roster is limited. They just need talent. Which is okay because we have all our picks! This franchise is in a great spot

  15. I pretty much agree with most here. The Chargers have more talent on their defence than we have on our offence right now. Fortunately most of our skill position players are really young and can improve.

  16. If you re-watch some replays, every time he gets in trouble no one is open down the field, literally no one could get separation. So frustrating to watch tbh.

  17. Gee, I wonder what caused the chargers to think we’d run it more. Perhaps it was something on tv? Idk just a thought.

  18. Another thing they’re not mentioning is that we gave up on the run to throw and it really wasn’t getting stopped by the chargers. They played it better but we ran it 7 times compared to 14 in the first half. We never even gave it a chance in the second half.

  19. I dunno why there is this focus on offense. We scored 27 points against a team who gives up 17 per game, didn’t turn the ball over, didn’t keep putting the D out there tiring them out.

The defense lost us this game, thats where the focus should be. The defense has been bailing out the defense recently with key turnovers and it didn’t happen this game.

  20. We know that Bo likes to throw the ball down the field, so the notion that he refused to throw it downfield is most likely false. The much more likely explanation is that he wasn’t liking what he was seeing down the field, and thus didn’t want to pull the trigger. I haven’t watched any tape of the game so I don’t know if guys were failing to get open or he was missing reads, but I’m quite sure he wasn’t “refusing” to throw down the field.

  21. Chargers got lucky and Broncos got shit on; that’s basically the story of last Thursday. Let’s see what our Broncos can do to bounce back !
