Raiders focused on adding more wins, not draft: ‘We don’t do this to lose’

  1. They were never trying to lose. They just suck. Saying this won’t make them automatically start winning games now.

That being said, the Saints are looking like a very winnable game. As much as I hate to say this, I hope Carr ends up playing.

  2. Sure picked a funny time to win after losing 10 straight and being one of the first teams officially eliminated from playoff contention

  3. Shit runs down hill, Mark is a pretty decent guy, but equally a pretty terrible owner I’m thankful there are no more Davis’ to continue this despair.

  4. I love how fans are being lectured about this when we have endured a losing product for the past 20 years. We all know that players would rather win— but when an organization has constantly had losing seasons and has an average first round pick number of 11.86 in the past 20 fucking years. Yea we get to be mad when you can’t even choose first. Congrats raiders you’ll be picking 4-18 for the next 30 years again and we will be watching every miserable second of it.

  5. As a fan, I would prefer better draft position at this point. But I understand the team goes out and tries to win. Since I have no control over any of it, I do my best to enjoy it for what it is. If they lose, cool, better draft picks. If they win, good for those guys still going out and playing hard. Being miserable changes nothing other than my day, so why bother being miserable about it.

  6. And this is why the raiders are gonna keep looking for a QB for the next 5 yrs because of fuc shyt like this🤦
If the Giants rookie QB balls out next year like JD it’s gonna be eggs all over Mark Davis face
They need to realize being mediocre still =losing🤷

  7. I’m not surprised they’ve been trying to win this whole time, just disappointed when it would actually help them long term to lose, they actually get a win.

  8. Crazy part is that Mark Davis doesn’t need the fanbase for anything.

The merchandise will still sell because enough non fans purchase it for the color way.

The tickets will still sell because they play in a prime vacation destination.

We could be mediocre forever and it won’t matter, as long as we have one or two players that casual football fans know about and would pay to watch.

  9. Controversial take: wins do not fucking matter to me. I want to see the team have legitimate success, in 99% of scenarios that means win. The goal is to win championships, win the division, make the playoffs. The goal is not getting eliminated from the playoffs and beating a bottom 3 team in the league. When this team wins 3-7 games a year, every single year, I am not happy and I want that to change. If they can only muster up 3 wins in a season I’m not thankful for those 3 Sundays where they figure it out.

I have watched this team for decades and seen barely the slightest inklings of success. Another year in purgatory, another season sucking ass. I’m not celebrating the fact that we are the 6th worst team in the league rather than the very worst.

  10. I’m just hoping we can get / stay in the top 5 at this point. Ward, Sanders, Hunter, McMillan, Jeanty.. either of those would be great additions in positions of need. If no QB in round 1 maybe grab one at the top of round 2 so that there’s at least some competition between the rookie, AOC and a vet (not Minshew).
