Per Aaaron Wilson Tank has not only suffered from his entire knee dislocation and an ACL tear, but also an MCL tear.
He will require multiple surgeries and there’s a high chance he won’t return next season.
This is career altering stuff. So heartbreaking.

A tragedy all around
An entire knee dislocation a a big deal that if done wrong can lead to an amputation. A knee cap dislocation is much more minor. Why was it reported as a knee cap dislocation initially?
I had the same injury except my leg went the opposite direction and I tore the nerve. Beyond the nerve injury, my knee was never the same and his will not be the same either. It’s a devastating injury to overcome. My foot stayed swollen for an extended period as all the fluids around the knee, plus swelling, gravitates to the foot.
I personally don’t see how he will be able to return to playing, maybe ever. But that’s just my experience with a dislocated knee injury. If he’s able to overcome it I still don’t expect him to play at any level comparable to what was and that’s horrible imo. Tank was my favorite player, this sucks.
There’s a quote from CJ, too. This entire thing is going to mess with his head so bad.
Per Aaron Wilson:
C.J. Stroud has prayed and attended church with Jared Wayne, who accidentally fell into Tank Dell who suffered gruesome knee injury:
“J. Wayne, I mean that guilt and that shame is something I deal with a lot, too. And, I think, for him, the best thing that he can do is just be around us. And I’ve been able to pray over him. We went to church. I try to tell him just not to internalize it. It’s football. God didn’t cause this. Some things in life, it’s just what the nature of what you’re in, which is football. Things like that happen. And just because something tragic like that happens, doesn’t mean you should point the finger at yourself or anyone else”
I stated after the game, some medical reports from doctors were saying this could possibly be career ending, then it cans back is was just the knee cap, well, with this news ladies and gentlemen, I personally don’t think Tank will ever be the same. This could very well be the last time he was on the field. Praying for a full recovery for our boy but prepare to possibly not see him again.
I’m making this comment only to relay information so first and foremost I feel for everyone involved as a person, especially Tank.
You won’t see an undersized WR make a team coming off an injury that’ll limit his explosiveness and speed. AKA his career is most likely done.
I want to be wrong so badly, but yeah – he’s not coming back from this. His mobility and speed will never be the same. If he does return to the NFL, his ceiling is probably WR4. Such a massive shame, I hope he’s able to recover physically and mentally.
This fucking sucks. Is there a way we can support Tank?
Damn I tore my MCL in high school, shit hurts, it still affects me 5 years later, I’m also not a world class athlete tho
So many people with no idea what they are talking about calling his career. Jesus stfu.
Had me a tibial plateau fracture and tore my acl mcl and meniscus. My life hasn’t been the same since.
Man I just feel so bad about this. I don’t know why but I’ve been taking injuries more and more “personally”…. Gut wrenching to see a good guy go down.
