  1. Little does he know he’s the last person we complain about it’s a couple of those other bums and a certain coach that’s the problem

  2. I hope NAW realizes how beloved he is here. Dude has been the lone bright spot thus far this season.

  3. I like the feistiness from NAW who is usually very methodical with his words, but being mad at the fans for having high expectations is the wrong place to aim that feistiness.

  4. Not sure why he’s seemingly agitated at the fans.. when he’s probably the most popular player this season since he actually gives a shit

  5. It only took about 5 games from the acquisition of NAW 3 years ago to become one of my favorite players. I never question his effort or intention. I hope he knows this is how we feel about what he brings to the team. I have real questions about the highest paid player on this team, the head coach, the GM, and several others that suit up for this team. And he’s right. Last year probably inflated expectations a bit, but the idea is to build on success, this team hasn’t done that, and doesn’t look capable of doing so.

  6. Good on him. But, it’s possible that the players are doing everything they can, but this roster just isn’t well-constructed and talented enough to be worth the fans’ money.

  7. They can’t blame the fans for wanting more especially after reaching WCF. The pieces are there, just have to figure things out we have more than half a season to go.

  8. The frustration is destroying the team chemistry days before preseason started by trading a beloved player and seeing the 2 pieces we got back being selfish players that are neutral at best. Randle has his moments but is absolutely shit defensively and DDV has been fucking terrible. Add in the coach who refuses to change out of an 8 man rotation and has thrown the same starters out game after game when it clearly is not working at all and fans are getting tired of the same garbage display of a team loss after loss.

  9. I don’t think he gets fans think some players aren’t getting a chance to even help the team . That we know players don’t always have great nights but the staff has backed themselves into a corner where if 2-4 players don’t play well they still play a full rotation. Where fans want if it’s a bad night for a player maybe a reserve can come in and give it his best .

  10. This the 2nd time this week ive heard “holding on to last year”. I understand Kat got traded and Kyle is gone but the rest of these mfs (6 of main 8 rotation guys) was here last year. Are we not allowed to have expectations? Half of the team regressed

  11. Lots of people work hard. You don’t get paid millions to work hard, that’s just an expectation. Fans want to see wins.

  12. I went to game 6 against Denver. The fans were out of their minds supporting the team. We went nuts.

You don’t get that from fans… and then quiet patience when the team is playing like they are now. If you want fans who go nuts supporting you, you better be prepared for those fans to be pissed when you play like shit (as a team… not NAW, he’s been great this season).

  13. Sir, *we* are not genetic freaks getting paid millions of dollars to play the game. Pull your head out of your ass and win games, or lose convincingly enough that we can blow it up early

  14. Regardless of if you feel this statement is bad or not, this is not a good thing to have come out of your locker room

  15. I love NAW. One of my favorites on the team and honestly, one of the few that deserves the least amount of criticism.

It isn’t so much as holding onto last year. It’s that the starting 5 doesn’t look like a competent NBA offense. And the boos they are hearing is often from either lack of effort or just absolute dogshit play.

This market is one of the kindest markets there is in the U.S. So if we boo, you know it’s fucking terrible.

  16. we’re not mad that you’re still figuring it out, we’re mad that you DID figure it out and then half the team just stopped giving a damn

If you want the fans cheers when you do good, you also have to accept their jeers when the team plays like shit

  17. we’re frustrated because we are playing significantly worse than last year’s KAT-less team (when he was out due to injury). At this point I’ve punted on living up to last year, just expect something less bad than fighting for the 10 seed.

  18. NAW can say this all he wants because hes been showing up, improving and consistently being our best player night in night out while making the least out of anyone we actually play. We all absolutely love him.

However, we are allowed to have expectations man, a large chunk of this team is the same as last year, why cant I expect for us to be good. Like I didnt think we would win 55+ games and go to the WCF this year, but this has been pretty fucking embarassing.

  19. These guys act like it’s unreasonable for fans to be annoyed when they come out flat and find themselves down 20 in the first quarter. Ant said something about being annoyed to hear boo’s a few weeks ago. Honestly? Tough. Play like shit and you’re going to hear it.

Having said that, NAW certainly isn’t the problem on this team.

  20. I’m sick of players telling us not to have expectations. I’m sick of being on losing teams. This team isn’t going anywhere.

  21. I’m ‘Dr. Saperstein on Parks & Rec’ when it comes to NAW–he’s the one player that brings near perfect energy & effort.

It’s not him that we’re disappointed in.

  22. Don’t show me the labor, show me the baby…. Guess it should be a 5am wake up from now on.

  23. This man has stepped up his on court play and media talk, ten fold! And on a budget.
On top of that, his hussle looks like the kid trying to kick your ass at the ymca so he can grab some now and laters, a bag a chips, and hit his buddies spot up for a sneak peak at his friend’s older sister and some video games.
NAW might not be Shai (yet) but blood is thicker than water. Ill take a busted up Conley to keep talking to the boy.
With that said, I have to hope Conelly is about culture over….

  24. NAW is the absolute least of this team’s problems right now. I don’t doubt that he’s putting the work in and giving it his all night in and night out. Unfortunately I can’t say that for all of the players

  25. I mean why shouldn’t we hold on to last year? Sometimes I feel like I’ve being gaslit and conditioned not to expect anything from this team. Remember when we settled for moral victories? *”They got blown by 20 but I think we have something special with [insert player name here].”* There’s also the *”When so and so is finally healthy, we’ll be a scary team.”* Like KAT said, we’ve been sucking and losing for 20 years (GODDAMN), so when you finally have a winning team, of course you’d want to hold on to that.

  26. Players should be just as upset as fans when they lose. I’m sorry, but if I’m paying $400 to go watch the wolves play, I don’t wanna go see some stupid shit.

  27. Was at the game in Atlanta last night, he was out there during half time getting extra reps in. Only player for either team doing it.

  28. Hate to see NAW feel this way, but of course we’re pissed and holding on to last year.

Got blindsided by the KAT trade after the second best year in team history and the pieces they got back suck. Not only that, the team looks miserable and like they don’t give a shit.

  29. What a lame answer. Of course we are holding on to last year, it was the first good year we have had in decades, and we expected to run it back. Take some accountability…

  30. I dont feel everyone on the team has NAW’s attitude and that is the problem. And I think I blame Finch the most for being unable to cultivate a meaningful enough culture of accountability. Randle shoulda been benched ages ago, Rob should be getting consistent minutes and even Ant needs to get yanked sometimes when he selfishly tanks the offense. Plus we need more offensive structure to enable players like Ant who arent the highest iq to able to keep things moving.

  31. JFC this team just doesn’t get it. Literally every single person on it is mentally soft. All we want is consistent effort on the court during games. Millions of people wake up at 6 AM and work all day. They’re not special.

  32. Dumbass baiting question from reporter.

This is like my wife asking me what I think about Sydney Sweeney or something

    It’s rage bait

  33. Ticket prices went up, member discount went down, arena food quality went down, feels like the game day experience is worse, and the team plays with no energy some quarters. Its easy to see why the fans are are booing and upset after thinking that the wolves would build on last year
