Do we have better shooting coaches this year? Everyone’s a sniper
No gifts for my family until they’ve all watched this five times
Highlights are all from his 3 career starts with the Bucks. This team has a lot of needs (athletic backup big, defensive minded wing, backup PG) and this guy solves that last one imo
Hope everyone has a happy and safe christmas and that we can keep the momentum rolling into boxing day!
Going to copy my comment on Rollins from the r/nba next day discussion thread here:
> Shocking that he’s just a do-it-all, Point Guard this season. He defends, he dunks, he drives, he sets up offense, he hustles in transition, and hell he even rebounds. Shouldn’t be on a 2-way but the Bucks shouldn’t feel too pressured to get him on a normal contract, they should just feel pressured by how good his play has been. That shoulder injury seems to be completely gone. I don’t know how he’s so confident in himself, but it’s clearly working so I love it.
Also just going to add, that defensive play where he injured his shoulder was terrific defensive sense, timing and effort.
Loving our future with Rollins, AjAx, Green. I wish they would give that big country center a few chances to play.
I’m glad he’s working really well with the regular season squad. Even though the team was an overall mess during the summer league, he felt like the most composed player on the team. He looked like the Vet compared to the other young guys like Ajax, Marjon, AJJ, Tyler Smith, Livingston and all the others. I think him bouncing around the league a bit and having to fight for a roster spot is part of it, but I was impressed that he wasn’t trying to hunt for his own stats in the process.
The entire SL roster was playing well beyond their actual roles they would have with the actual squad, but Rollins stuck out to me because he didn’t overextend himself too much. He played hard, hit shots, defended, organized people, moved the ball, and then sprinkled in some 1 on 1 play to bail the team out on late shot clock situations.
My goat
4 and 1/2 minutes!?!
I only needed 45 seconds
Wizards fan checking in. I was a hardcore Ryan Rollins truther when we had him. The proof is in the pudding. He has incredible poise, court vision, confidence, hustle, and fundamentals.
Bottom line is: he makes winning plays. Rollins will be a starting level PG in this league soon if he isn’t already there. Stoked for y’all. (and a little jealous)
He’s elite at poking the ball away from driving guards and has a great three point shot. When can we add him to the regular roster, he’s on a two way deal right now?
I was yelling from the rooftops when the warriors drafted him. He’s very underrated and just needs true opportunity. Glad he’s getting some with the Bucks. Big guard with skill and defensive potential due to his wingspan and athleticism.. could be a very good (role) player in the league!
