Nice analyses. I appreciate the direct, no wasted words approach. Herbert probably has learned to fade back on pass plays because his receivers except for McConkey have trouble getting separation.
From the looks of it, Joe Alt is out shining Rashawn and eventually going to be the LT. Rashawn losing his footing shows the collapse of the pocket and Justin rushing that throw.
Solid analysis. Alt is 100% a great asset you the chargers team and it's unfortunate that the majority of fans don't understand and appreciate the game enough to understand it.
That double block on the Gus Edwards TD was a thing of beauty. So glad we didn't draft Nabers.
you watch him and it’s easy to forget he never played RT before coming into the league
Don't forget 44 !!! Big help

Surprised the Broncos didn't blitz 5 or 6 more often. Like the Bucs did.
3:50 #79 made a huge block on that play also
30 seconds into the video they had 2 commercials on YouTube it's terrible now
Chargers have no breakaway speed in receivers so Herbert has to do that extra fade just to get them open.
Joe is a BEAST!
At least 3 of those 7 penalties on Alt this year were complete BS
That’s some good film right there on the rookie
I know this is a Joe Alt appreciation vid, and he deserves it. But check out Scott Matlock, a converted DT (now playing FB) at about 10:40 in this vid…he gets his guy, but as the breakdown suggests, either 75 or 79 is supposed to get the other LB, and behind angle doesn't really show it, but he blocks his guy & then hesitates in the hole to shield the other LB from getting the tackle. It was obviously an ad-lib move but it's an exquisite one, especially for a guy who's only been playing FB for about 4 months.
Drafting Slater and Alt within a couple of years is insane
Some insight on Herbert’s “fade” technique. He’s developed this over time with the chargers due to having bottom 1/4 interior offensive lines. The only season he didn’t exhibit this as much was 2021 when they had Corey Linsley healthy for a full season
He has gotten better. I expect him to be a beast in his second year.
LOL, On the Herbert scramble from his 5(ish), did anyone notice the "block" by Ladd? Great WR, but not going to be taking Alt's job anytime soon.
Your doing a great job Joe protecting Herbert 😊
Alt or Mcconkey Jersey???
1:30 one of the best stops of speed to power hes seen.. meanwhile slater is casually stopping the same thing on the other side on the same play hahah.. chargers fans are fuckin blessed rn
Chargers fan here, as much as we need receiver weapons, Harbaugh made the right call drafting Joe Alt.
The interior O line is trash. I can't wait for the chargers to address this through the draft and free agency.

Great analysis! I believe JA's sprained MCL might've contributed to some of his low ratings. Nonetheless JA will get more experience and just get better, which is extremely positive for Herbert's health. Need some interior line help in next year's draft/FA.
The right guard is great too.
I can't wait to see his 2nd year leap.
As a Chargers fan, I thank you. Easy to feel we should have gotten Bowers, as it’s so obvious how good he’s doing in nfl. OL easy to not recognize during the play, and I wasn’t even sure how well he is doing for such a high pick. 👌
Well, they have a great coach!
Large athletic human
I did rip another video you did on KC and the refs on this channel, so I will give you a lot of credit on these Joe Alt videos. They are excellent. I will say that the comment about Alt and penalties is laughable. He has 7, and I think that like 3-4 are garbage calls. He is also getting the majority of the opponent's premium pass rusher. He is having an A+ season.
A good offensive line automatically makes the rest of the team better
4:48, the first half of the season, i think he was dealing with the mcl sprain. I'm not sure how long it lingered and affected him, but i think that is a plausible explanation for the up and down play in the first half of the season. As it healed, he has gotten a lot more consistent.
