Can the Green Bay Packers match the urgency of the Minnesota Vikings without much on the line?

The Minnesota Vikings can not only win the NFC North, but can still be the No. 1 overall seed in the NFC. The Packers … can’t. How much does that matter in a game like this? Luke Braun from Locked on Vikings joins us to talk about that, break down the matchups and offer keys to victory.

  1. This packers don’t have anything to really play for narrative is annoying. Not only the obvious about what winning does, but preventing the Vikings from the 1 seed, and the opportunity to possibly get a 5 vs. a 6 or 7 is massive in my mind.

  2. The Packers need to prove that they win against a winning team my gosh! they have not won anything yet against those teams. They are lucky their schedule was filled with ok teams duh

  3. Toyota Thon is a testament to how the Pack can't come out and play from week one and dominate. Imagine Toyota Thon with the Pack clicking from week one…Training camp should be all about getting tough from day one….

  4. If the Packers lose to the Vikings, i see the Packers as the 7th seed. That is all the incentive the Packers need to win. They would rather play the Rams than the Eagles.

  5. Why are people "settling" for 6th seed?? If we win out and Vikes lose out, we will be
    1. Tied head to had 1-1
    2. Tied in Division games 3-3
    3. We win Common Games decider, 12-3 to 11-4
Getting the 5th seed is better
    1. We face Atlanta (Or TB) instead of the Rams
    2. If all 3 WC tams win Rd1, we actually get a home game vs #6 (This year all 3 teams are good)
    3. Go further, if #7 then upsets #1, we get to host them in Rd3

  6. Packers aren’t playing for anything but to make sure that they can play in a hostile environment on the road because that’s what they’re going into this postseason

  7. I have been a Packer fan for 65 years and I don’t think they can beat Minnesota. I think it will be ugly 34-17 Vikings! Two reasons we will lose. 1. Love will be running for his life and 2. Jefferson and Addison will have career days!

  8. Momentum is a real thing and the Green Bay Packers seem to be playing their best football at this time of the season. Teams getting better as the season goes on is a sign of a great head coach and that’s supported by Matt Lafluer’s 20-3 record as head coach of the Green Bay Packers in December. After their recent surge of fantastic football, the Green Bay Packers now rank 2nd in the NFL in Net Yards Per Play. The Minnesota Vikings, while continuing to win, have fallen to 11th in that stat and 21st over their last 3 games. The underlying numbers show that despite both teams continuing to stack up wins, and it’s the Green Bay Packers who have been playing better football than the Minnesota Vikings as of lately. Go Pack Go 💚💚💛💛

  9. As a packers fan this game is important for many reasons:

    1. Just pride in general, id like to go 3-3 in the division and not get swept by both the lions and vikings, teams we likely may face in the playoffs

    2. Seeding. I dont wanna face detroit until we absolutely have to. The 4th seed will be the nfc south either the falcons or the buccaneers. And if we have to go on the road i like my chances MUCH MORE in the 4v5 then the 3v6 unless its seattle but i dont think facing the rams would be ideal. Then theres the divisional roynd which would likely see us going tk Philly to play the eagles and while tough i like my chances more in cold philly then detroit.

So hypothetical by the time we get to the NFC championship ( assuming we win out ) were either going to detroit or were hosting the nfc championship game vs Minnesota. At that point i like my odds more but if we have to play detroit or Minnesota at anypoint before the nfc championship game i dont like the odds idk why but i just feel like everything should be on the line by the time that scenario is available, a trip to the super bowl and knocking off a division rival to do it

  10. The packers need to win as much or more than the Vikings. If they rest and concede the loss that’s the same loosing culture that Rogers era had all the way back through McCarthy! Every time Rodgers was locked in #1 or 2 they rested the last week and that soft attitude rolled into the playoffs. They need a killer mindset with this team. All gas no breaks! If they play starters first half and get ahead then rest and take the W but you can not let the Vikings and lions sweep you!!! If they come in and dominate the Vikings then it’ll send shockwaves through the NFC. They will send a message to the rest of the league that they are legit. The only lack of respect towards the packers is that they lost to the Vikings and lions. If thy loose again it puts a nail in their own coffin.

  11. just want to point out to the darnold doubters, pull up cunningham in 98 and darnold in 24 through 15 games and give it a quick scan for comparison. that guy who was 'seeing ghosts' in new jersey no longer exists.

  12. I’d rather play Philadelphia than the Rams. If the Packers can’t beat Philadelphia, there’s no point in continuing. But the Rams are getting hot right now. Maybe someone else will cool them off or eliminate them or beating Philadelphia would be just the boost of confidence the Packers need continuing through the playoffs.
