I live in Colorado a few hours from Lamar, where Scott grew up. About 8 years ago, my summer team was playing in a wood bat tourney in Pueblo. We were the visitors and were playing another small town team. I was watching the pitcher warm up and said to my assistant, this pitcher has awesome mechanics, he’s been coached well. I go out to swap lineups and on my way back to the dugout I check his name. It was Scott’s nephew! 😂😂
