  1. I am all for Maxx getting paid, in fact! I would rather him have an ownership share over the other guys – However, when you sign a contract to promote beer, pizza, gambling it could be considered ironic to complain about the addictions and decay on the backend ..

    Maxx could have done more to get Jacobs paid and avoid the holdout (undermining the offence) but nobody wants to rock the boat while you yourself have the bag in hand

    winning clearly wasn’t the agenda, it’s just business.. the money tells the story, it did when JaMarcus held out.. never should have been allowed to draft him in the first place if from the jump the players career was being undermined

  3. Raider fans are so annoying and I am one. Most other fans have the most insane takes. Like the tanking, the Maxx Crosby stuff (I've even seen fans say he fell off), they complain about the qb they have, then complain about the QB they get. For a crowd talked about for our knowledge of the game, we sure don't act like we know the game. A lot of fans think we have zero talent. Think we should just get rid of everyone from the top down, then turn around and ask why there's no consistency

  4. Hondo is dead wrong. Stability comes AFTER winning. Almost every successful coach won FIRST, then the organization built around that leadership. The vast majority of coaches who are on year 4 and beyond were successful immediately in their first season.

    John Harbaugh, Mike Tomlin, Kevin Stefanski, Sean McDermott, Andy Reid, Nick Sirianni, Sean McVay, Matt LaFleur all won immediately. Most coaches with less than four years won immediately… Jim Harbaugh, Dan Quinn, Mike McDaniel, DeMeco Ryans, Kevin O'Connell, Todd Bowles, and it's looking like you can add Raheem Morris and Mike MacDonald to that list.

    There is ZERO reason to believe that Antonio Pierce can do anything beyond lose games and lose star players. You don't commit to terrible coaches.

  6. Hondo, great content. If only management can find 5 o 7 players at the same level as Maxx Crosby then Raiders will be playing for a championship not behind the front seat in December. Courage, hard work, teammate, commitment, and a role for others outside as well as inside the field.

  7. This issue was that Maxx demanded we keep the most unqualified head coach in NFL history, while proven winners like Jim Harbaugh were available. There is not ONE fan base on any level of football that would choose Antonio Pierce over Jim Harbaugh. Not one. You don't compete in the AFC West by hiring an unqualified coach like Pierce and then stay the course just to stay the course for the sake of stability.   10. Unfortunately for Maxx we have a coach that isn't good enough, the coaching staff is just horrible. The roster has some talent, but it's just a mess, and not having a qb gets you nowhere. You can't win in this league without a great coach nor qb

    The Raiders have been rebuilding since Gruden spanked Al . Callahan and on. ..We are tired of rebuilding. Obviously Markie is not his father. Time to get out. I grew up in the east bay in the 60's this is the worst of the worst. Al and Pete feud using LA Against OAk was bad. But this season the Raiders lose games they should win and win the games they should lose. No QB winning seasons!!!

  22. So I went to my first game in Vegas, I had seen the Raiders in LA back when they were at the coliseum, SD and Seattle, but since moving to Vegas I had not been to a game. (I live in Utah)The game was last week against Jacksonville, I have to admit that thinking about whether or not I wanted them to win, or loose for better draft position. As we headed to the game I decided I’m rooting for a win, I wanted my first Vegas game to be a win. I sat in the black hole and the opinions on tanking where mixed, I just have to say that watching the players it was clear how much pride they had and they could give a dam about next years draft, and you know what, it changed my view on tanking. Thank you Raiders for winning that game, it was also my sons first ever NFL game, thank you for giving us a life long memory.

  25. you can't be a stable franchise in the NFL without a FRANCHISE QB. Those QBs are winners, see kids shouldnt care if Maxx is playing, they should care about the QB. Look around you, kids wear qb jersey.

  27. The irony about what you said is he actually would be on the same level with those guys you listed such as brady and Jordan if he was on any other team except the raiders. I pray he can win a championship while he's a raider, I really do but I would understand he gave it a shot somewhere else

  29. Are you listening to yourself Hondo? You say Mark Davis and Maxx are the only consistent people on the Raiders. Well, one of the two is making all of these UNSTABLE decisions for this team.

  30. Charles Woodson experienced more team success with the Raiders than Maxx ever has. He left and won a SB with the Packers. He came back but he will always be known as “Super Bowl champion Charles Woodson” due to his years in Green Bay.
    What’s wrong with being dealt to a team with a legitimate chance of winning a SB, for picks? The Raiders aren’t going anywhere and it’s naive to suggest they are. Giving Maxx a chance to win with a contender instead of playing out his career with a team that has almost no chance to even make it to 10 wins?

  34. When you have as valuable an asset as Maxx Crosby and you need to upgrade at the majority of positions, you trade that asset for as much as you can get. Whether he's all-in or not, I don't think he has a no-trade clause. It's not his decision. He will not be a Raider next year. Mark it.

  36. After so many decades of disappointment there comes a point when just by maturity or whatever you realize things are straight toxic. Being a Raider fan is embarrassing to say out loud. Max knows Pat Graham is probably looking for a lifeboat. The offense is at least three seasons off a legit playoffs contender and that's injury free with every single detail going perfect. Kids, sometimes when life would kick all the dreams out of you in the NFL there was still a home at the end of the road called the Oakland Raiders. It was full of fallen angels, hard luck cases, and men who the football world had tried real to hide from the big glittery show being built. Jim Otto, Gene Upshaw, Madden, Flores, Al himself… we have so much to be proud of regardless of what the league wanted. We've lost that edge, lost that ability to crush opponents then hand them the ball and say we couldn't care less. We lost it somewhere after the exodus from LA back to Oaktown. Now its just a fading thing on a gambling chip. The Autumn Wind, gone like DC4 and so many others who wasted their prime trying to put order into chaos. Get out Max, get out and make your physical and mental sacrifice of your prime years worthwhile. No-one in this franchise has the code any longer to stand with you. No-one remembers… the Autumn Wind has died out.

  42. Why would you say people think Maxx is playing the Raiders for money? No one in the Nation thinks that. It does make you sound stupid saying something like that. You don't know shit about Raider fans. And also, other teams wouldn't be lining up for Maxx because they respect him, it's because he's a great football player.

  44. Like you said, he is already rich. It is icing on the cake. Not everyone in life gets cake though. He should retire and raise his daughter instead then play since money is no issue. He can whine like every other athlete with no trophy also.
