Being the 2nd most sacked QB will destroy anyone’s confidence. I personally don’t fault CJ for the poor play calling and sloppy O-line play. Would love to see this fixed during the offseason.
I think a majority of texan fans acknowledge he’s regressed. But we still have his back. Not the Oline, chris strausser or bobby slowik tho.
The day the season ends for the texans whenever that’ll be, they need to be fired and never allowed to coach or play again
Fr I saw some post on twitter of some sports page asking if you would take stroud over drake maye. It might be a rough offseason to be on twitter if stroud doesn’t turn it up in the playoffs.
Fr fr, he’s regressed but dear lord he’s been sacked so damn much his confidence is shot. He needs to be confident again, or just always be confident no matter what. His OC needs to be fired into the sun though. Fuck that guy 😭
The fact is that he’s put down a ridiculous amount of outstanding NFL tape and if he’s done it once he can do it again.
He needs support and he needs a coach worth a damn.
He’s still so young. There’s ups and downs to every career. People being out on him is insane.
It can be simultaneously true that CJ needs to work some stuff out and the organization needs to put him in a better position for success. It’s a mental issue, CJ has the tools and has shown that he knows how to use them, I think he can do a hard reset over the off-season and get back to his full self again. It’s on the org to get him the rest.

With young dudes you always gotta remember they are not mentally strong. I thought CJ was miles ahead in that department, but at the end of the day leading an entire organization, and hell, a city at 23 Y/O i imagine is hard as shit. Having a bad day can spiral into weeks. Hope he bounces back because he’s just clearly not the same guy as last year. NFL is ruthless, if he has another bad season, the organization will be in a tough spot. Especially with the defense they’ve assembled.
Never doubted Cj it jus ain’t his year he will be better when they hire a OC next year
I still have confidence in Stroud and Caserio. Ryans, though, seems to make good decisions in developing a decent defensive gameplan during the week. He has them prepared to win on game day (when he has a full week), but he struggles with in-game decisions. I hope he improves, because he ain’t going anywhere any time soon.
There’s quite literally a term for this called sophomore slump, people are acting like he’s gonna be like this for the rest of his career. He has HOF potential, he’s still adjusting to NFL football and has went through hell this season.
Anyone who sincerely has given up on CJ is either a troll or a bandwagoner ngl.
Get him a decent oline before I’ll call for a change. CJ is Him and will be the franchise QB

Demeco is an average coach, stroud is an average qb. The defense is passable
Don’t give a fuck bout any of the noise I love CJ
It’s his second year, dude has a sophomore slump which almost every single quarterback has and everyone freaks the fuck out, some ppl are just slow

Calling for stroud and demeco’s removal during year 2 is definitely un warranted but I will definitely have to see some big changes coming in the offseason. Staff & O-line being the biggest moves.
We saw last year that he has the ceiling of a top 5 QB in the league. He carried us in games we had no business winning, the Tampa Bay and Pittsburgh games come to mind specifically. The thing about pure pocket passers is that they’re a lot like players in basketball. If their head isn’t right, their game isn’t right. However you feel about how he’s responded to adversity, he played really well at the start of the season and declined as it progressed. I think it’s as simple as the trials of the season affecting him. He’s 23 years old and showed us a glimpse of his ceiling last year. If we give up on him now then frankly we don’t deserve to have him.

This is the whole fan base. I don’t think anyone wants to draft another QB. I do think everyone wants to fix the O-Line and OC spots.
