Sigh… that was such a fun season until it wasn’t… fuck man even the years where we do good something tragic happens.
I watched that game at Killarney’s in Huntington Beach (Raider Bar) I remember seeing Cliff Branch there. I told myself I’m going to get his autograph for sure. I forgot he was there because of how excited I was left to another bar instead. Forgot to get his autograph or take a picture for that matter.
That Derek Carr hurdle flip for the first down was legendary. Dude had to fight through bodies to celebrate LMAO.
My favorite game of that season was the panthers game where Khalil Mack got after it all day, but this one definitely set the tone for the season. Great memory!
My dad was dying of brain cancer then. That season one of the only bright spots that year. Too bad Carr broke the leg
