    Most expected him to be in roster next year given the cap hit/penalty to move on this spring

  5. Anyone that thought he was getting cut this offseason was so off base to begin with. This is a move to keep them competitive and flexible. Just sucks he’ll be lingering on the roster

  15. They aren’t EXTENDING him. They are just kicking the can down the road to ease the cap. Being on the roster != he will be starting QB.

  30. Y’all this is a good thing. I didn’t expect Watson to sign any restructuring deal at all.

    Without this restructuring, we would have had to get rid of a ton of guys.

    Watson could have fucked us and made us wallow with our cap.

    But also, chill out. This doesn’t mean Watson is playing next year. Does he have to be on the roster? Yup. But he doesn’t have to play.

    Also fuck Watson.

  31. As a broncos fan that just went through this with Russ, this is wild. I feel so bad for y’all fans.

  32. He’s here until at least 2026, that doesn’t mean he will be playing (hopefully he never sees the field or dresses in uniform)

  33. Hopefully they keep finding reasons to put him IR until it’s reasonable to cut him so he doesn’t waste a roster spot.

  37. Does this make him tradeable, like when we traded for Osweiler and cut him…obviously no team would want him and we’d still have pay his contract
