[Rapoport] The Browns will bring in another QB for competition — whether a rookie or a veteran — but Deshaun Watson will be back.

  1. Whatever restructure they just did isn’t a normal restructure since they just did the one they could do earlier in the year. I’ll wait for numbers but it all but guarantees he’s essentially an extremely overpaid backup while the team brings in someone else

  2. Y’all wild. This is a good thing. He helped relieve cap space for us & we still will have a real qb battle between him and a rookie or free agent like Fields or Kirk.

    This is a good thing.

  3. Browns can free up like 110M to load this roster up with like 3 players being restructured lol.

  4. They didn’t extend him so people need to relax. They’ll cut him when the cap hit isn’t catastrophic.

  5. No one wants him back. We want him gone forever. He is a shitty quarterback and an even worse person.

  6. Andrew Berry himself will suit up and serve as the “other QB” to compete with Watson in training camp

  7. Anyone who thinks he’ll start another game for us seriously needs his/her head examined.

  8. I’m so ready for Watson, the FO and coaching staff to just be gone. This has been a miserable stretch of Browns football and that’s saying a lot.

  9. I think Jameis returns. They’re not playing him to keep his price down. Jameis the only QB gullible to stay. If I was him I’d go to Miami

  10. Yeah, we’ve won soooo many games with him. Why not give it another shot? I bet he won’t have any rust to shake off this time. I bet he won’t be the worst QB in the NFL this time either. I bet history doesn’t repeat itself this time too. I bet the failed plan will work this time. It’s gonna be great!

  11. No way he’s medically cleared to play at any point next season so this doesn’t matter at all right now. They will likely bring in at least 2 new QBs for next season, a rookie and a veteran. And the reality is neither of those pools have a lot of great options.

  12. Watson does not want to stay here. He is irrelevant, and he will not have a part in the Browns’ future.
