The worst part about this pick is that they made it with the intention of replacing Daron Payne. Who they then didn’t attempt to sign to an extension. They let him play out a monster contract year, then backpedaled on replacing him with Mathis and gave him the bag. So we drafted a bust and overpaid Payne at the same time.
