I think Kurz’s interpreter must have been broken.
I was happy with Kolosov’s play to start the season, but at this point is has fallen off quite a bit.
Under normal circumstances, a team would/should be concerned with the development of a 22 year old goalie struggling in the NHL. It is not normal to throw a goalie prospect to the wolves like this when there is literally a 3rd veteran goalie already on the roster, waiting to get back into action.
This doesn’t make sense from a development perspective. It doesn’t make sense from a competitive culture perspective.
Honestly, I’m giving Briere & Jones a failing grade with how they handled this situation with him these past 7 or so months. They were steadfast in not wanting to loan him out when he said he didn’t want to go back to the Phantoms (I agree with that!) so he refused to report to dev camp & training camp until the very end. They got him over, he played half a dozen games in the AHL and called him up because of struggles and injuries in net.
Yet here he is, the #2 on the depth chart after he arrogantly claimed he was above the AHL and refused to come over and participate in two team camps, and he’s really shown nothing on NHL ice to keep that #2 spot.
Meanwhile Ivan Fedotov is withering away with zero game time and skating with scratches after home practices.
They’ve let Kolosov hold them hostage because of his threat to go back(a big 180 from one of the supposed “issues” that led to Gauthier’s trade request), drop the hammer and send him down.
Fedotov is getting the shaft so badly.
For all the people who outrage when Michkov is scratched or benched, where is it about Fedotov and the wild mishandling of the goaltending situation?
Kolosov should be back in the AHL. If he wants to take his ball and go home, then have at it. The Flyers still have Zavragin in the pipeline.

Why didn’t Koly get the Ducks game? If he’s the number 2 let him play that game and give our number one the tougher game, esp since they rocked Koly last game like 10 days ago. Are they trying to humble the kid of what? And Fedotov is banished for whatever reason now.
I’m pretty sure Fedotov fucked Tort’s wife or something. These other two goalies get away with play he has never allowed been allowed to get away with lmao
If kolosov would just keep his elbows tucked against his body and also stop cheating short side, he would have much better numbers.
NHL rosters should have space for 3 goalies without a constant worry about waivers or the AHL

Fedotov in November: 908 sv%, 2.56 GAA
Fedotov had one bad period in December and then doesn’t play for a month. Kolosov got rung for a combined 11 goals on 46 shots in his last two starts. I think it’s time to change it up.
Kolosov sucks ass. Ive never seen an NHL goalie with such bad rebound control and vision. Dude is horrible.
I dont even like Fedotov (his positioning sucks) but this is getting ridiculous.
