Smart move, if true. This makes it look like he'll choose a team based on organizational merits, among other factors. It could just be a smokescreen, to curtail the, "He's a Dodger" narrative.
He won’t be, when he’s completely overshadowed by Ohtani and Yamamoto. He idolizes Darvish, but he’s on his way out. The Yankees have a history with Japanese players. Etc, etc. The Mets have the richest owner in the sport, and are trying to be good for a while. Can he handle the NY pressure?
Boob thinks he’s going to the Twins
Guys seems like kind of a diva. Like get here and do something before you start making demands. Also with all due respect him waiting weeks to decide really screws established mlb players who are free agents.
this really does not mean anything. dodgers still have plenty of benefits to offer Sasaki on an organizational level, as do the padres, or the guardians if the small market rumors have merit to them. he could sign with the mets. at this point I have no clue where he’d go, but I likely won’t be surprised by where it ends up being
If Boob is reporting this then the Dodgers meeting was just Shohei going over college football lines with Roki for three hours.
