Browns Have Top 3 Pick, But Do They NEED Take A QB In Round One?

The Cleveland Browns have several decisions to make this coming offseason, none more important than what they’ll do at quarterback. The Browns will all but certainly finish with a top 3 pick, meaning they’ll be in prime quarterback territory. Many mock drafts have the Browns taking Shedeur Sanders or Cam Ward in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Daniel Flick of Sports Illustrated has the Browns passing on Georgia quarterback Carson Beck for another SEC signal-caller – Alabama’s Jalen Milroe.

  1. We need a lot so trade down (Not too far down) to get extra picks. Try to get in the range where you can draft Ashton Jeanty and use the extra picks on Offensive Linemen, Defensive Lineman and a LB if JOK isn't able to play again. Or if Jacksonville is interested in unloading Trevor Lawrence then try to get him or Sam Darnold if possible. Just hit on the picks and get a QB (Not out of this draft).

  2. sander's son at QB that's a big no too many other problem's with the offensive line . it's the same ole same ole about the time the offensive get's better the defense will $uck been that way since 1964 . history repeat's its self . just like the movie ground hog day . maybe Travis Hunter from colorado but who on this team can throw him the ball ?

  3. Not impressed with the 2025 QB class. I would be trading back to amass more picks. Draft itself is not bad, just the QB group. And I would take a flyer on one or two QBs in later rounds.

  4. I’m 59 and have been a long suffering Browns fan since I was a “yout” in Northern Ohio. Born in Parma, lived in North Olmsted, Euclid, Mentor, and Geneva (then moved to Southern Ohio). Moved to CA in 1980 but remained a die hard Browns fan. I’ve suffered the comments, ridicule, and regular seasons of “well, there’s next year”. As I age I keep commenting to my wife, “I’ll probably go my whole life without the Browns winning a Super Bowl”. Hell, I might go my whole life without the Browns winning the AFC and even appearing in a SB. Because of stupidity and incompetence in the front office, we are looking at – at least – 3 to 5 years of mediocrity due to cap constraints and “needing to rebuild”. I took my wife and 3 kids to Cleveland in 2018 and had such a wonderful time. People in the area are wonderful. All I can say is Cleveland deserves better. We Browns fans deserve better. This mess is just pathetic.

  5. Hunter is not the best player in the Draft- Jeanty is the Browns need playmakers and Jeanty would bring the Browns back to life, he is a Beast on the field ready for AFC North football.

  6. Kevin Stefanski and Andrew Berry do not have the luxury of time. Period. If the Browns don't look like a competent organization next year, then they WILL BE FIRED. With that said, I don't think that it would be smart to leave their jobs in the hands of washed up QBs like Kirk Cousins or Aaron Rodgers, QBs who are worse passers than Deshaun Watson like Justin Fields, or Deshaun Watson himself coming off of another season-ending injury. I also don't think that it would be smart to bank on a mid round QB magically becoming Dak Prescott either. If the Browns draft Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders, then I believe that Andrew Berry and Kevin Stefanski have a better chance of surviving until 2026. But if their plan is to have Justin Fields, Dillion Gabriel, and Deshaun Watson have an asinine QB competition, then they are all going to get fired.

  7. No way DTR looked better than pro bowlers snoop huntley and jameis. Proof they will just lie to you for their agenda. So its not the best players play its the politics over play on this team. Draft pics get the reps

  8. Big no to sanders..he’s slow and likes to roll out and that’s gonna be a sack. His arm talent isn’t that great. Pass on that. Cam I’m not sold on either.

  9. If they pass on Ward and Sanders and they become great QBs….. that’s grounds for termination!!! Gotta take 1 of them. Can’t “wait”… Can’t predict the future and where they’ll be drafting. Take 1 while you can. Preferably Cam Ward

  10. Whether it's a young exciting quarterback or a good older quarterback, the Browns need to find a dependable quarterback that can take us to the Super Bowl. DTR was taken in the 5th round. He wasn't expected to be that QB. The Browns need to find "that" QB.

  11. Nah, if they don't think it's the right quarterback the Browns won't pick a quarterback at number three to keep their jobs. If he's not the right rookie quarterback that won't extend their jobs. They'll definitely pick who they think will help the Browns the most.

  12. Travis Hunter is the player that I absolutely DO NOT WANT. He doesn't have a position. Kevin Stefanski has been horrendous at using guys who have defined positions. Y'all really think that he can use a guy who doesn't? Andy Reid or Sean Payton could use Travis Hunter's skill set. If the Browns draft him he'll just be a mediocre slot CB, who they can plug in to replace Greg Newsome. That is not worth a 1st round draft pick to me.
