  1. As a MN Twins fan, welcome to the sh*t show. The team could be one of the best in the league, unfortunately the owners cut payroll at every opportunity.

  2. Completely disagree. As good as the 1-5 is for the Ms, the drop-off after that is huge. You trade Castillo you are one injury away from making your biggest strength a weakness because a lack of depth. Keep the pitching intact and trade for players that you can for prospects. Mariners have one of, if not THE best farm system in baseball. C'mon.

  3. Boston tried to throw an outfielder the Mariners way when the Mariners are set on outfielders and really need infielders. The MLB insider should just shut up. Boston blew it.

  4. Its not ideal that seattle run it back but they werent that far from the playoffs and in their minds minimal upgrades will keep them in contention with this pitching staff. They arent going to trade castillo for dog shit or take a bunch of money back.

  5. Mariners fan: Ownership is the main problem. They only care about winning to the extent that it keeps fans in the ballpark for as long as possible. There are payroll restrictions in place, only for the sake of improving the bottom line. It’s self-imposed, not due to a lack of resources. There is no reason they can’t simply add free agents to the current roster, other than they don’t find it profitable to do so.

Dipoto isn’t perfect either, he’s done very poorly with the few dollars he’s given each year.

I guarantee they trade at least one of Gilbert/Kirby/Miller/Woo in the next two seasons because they will become “too expensive”. This ownership group is an absolute embarrassment to baseball.

  6. I feel bad for Seattle fans, all that pitching talent and they don’t take advantage and sign or trade for some good hitters. Dipoto Sucks, he needs to go and ownership is cheap as EFFFF.

  7. The fact that the ownership group won't pony up to make a run at this when they are stacked at pitching is gut-wrenching and is par for the course when you're a Mariners fan. PLEASE SELL THE TEAM!

  8. The $15 million isn’t some fact they have to find a work around for, it is a Choice by ownership. Building 9/10 of a WS contender and refusing to spend the final 1/10 to finish the team is a Choice. That is the definition of Blowing it

  9. As a Mariner fans, thank you for making this video. More people who have a following need to make videos about the classless organization that is the Seattle Mariners.

  10. John Stanton rivals Arte Moreno as the worst owner. The window is here, has been here, and the promised spending hasn’t happened. The window will close, no one will resign with the club.

  11. No money means coming up short in the standings which will turn into Cal Raleigh wanting out of Seattle and possibly another player.
