Puljujarvi may have asked for a trade. He wasn’t claimed off waivers, so is there even a market?

So glad we get to watch “The Invisible Man” Matt Nieto in the lineup every night instead of a young player like Pulju who still has room to develop
Mike Sullivan ladies and gentleman
Must have slept with Sully’s wife.
Puli might not have the greatest read in where he is at in his career. He blamed the Oilers for not getting a chance there, then goes to Carolina and they don’t want him back and now Pitt doesn’t want him. Wish him well but after a while gotta look in the mirror.
Meanwhile Nieto has 3 points in 18 games and does basically nothing noticeable while he’s playing.
Edit: I can tell from the downvotes that I’ve got a bad take here. I’d love it if someone could tell me why, genuinely. Cause I’m still learning about hockey and, from my perspective, Puljujarvi is a much better player than Nieto. Especially when it comes to playmaking and producing.
So if everyone has to play defence, who’s providing the offence then, huh Sully? WHO??
Mike “The Don” Sullivan at it again, ensuring the anti-Puljujarvi cabal he oversees has enough blackmail on the other teams to keep our man down. When will it end???!! FBI step in now!!
I have to imagine Dubas put feelers out. Logic would say if he could have been hard for free, why would they give up assets? I know it’s not always that straight forward because of roster slots and what-not, but I’ll say this, if they actually played him more and let him stockpile some more points, they probably could have got something decent for him.
Man this is rough to see. He was one of my favorites on the ice and looked to me like one of the better players out there. I feel like we are making a mistake here.
I think he’d be best suited on a team where he can reliably play 2nd line wing or something like that. Pens are trying to grind out a competitive lineup, and he’s just not quite cutting it. Needs to go somewhere where he can re-build his game/body at the same time. Sucks that he couldn’t cut the defensive stuff here, clearly super talented. Hopefully we can trade him for another guy that needs a change of scenery etc, or hopefully a late round pick if a team has injury needs.
The guy brings energy and pretty good scoring chances every time he’s on the ice. I don’t understand why Sullivan won’t play him. There’s definitely passengers on this team that bring a whole hell of a lot less than he does that regularly see ice time over him. I understand him being frustrated by that and asking to get out. But yeah, if teams aren’t taking him for free when he has like 4 months left of an extremely cheap contract, idk what kind of trade could even happen there.
Teams might be more interested in ditching a guy on a similar contract for each to get a change of scenery, rather than just taking one contract off of our hands.
Now that he’s in the AHL and doesn’t take a roster spot, a team could easily trade a player in a similar situation for him.
