The Canadiens are finally coming alive…
Nhl montreal canadiens today – So after a really rough start to the year the habs are on a heater that has, surprisingly put them within striking distance of a playoff spot. And maybe even more surprisingly, while the key players like cole caufield nick suzuki juraj slafkovsky lane hutson have shown up during this run, it has been by-committee with lots of help from the supporting cast like brendan gallagher jake evans emil heineman alexandre carrier jakub dobes josh anderson that have been equally as important. That's called "How to Conduct a Proper Rebuild 101"
The 4th line as a whole is surprising me, they’re consistently scoring every game lately and they’re one of the biggest threat every time they step on ice, really proud of what they’re accomplishing but I must say I don’t want them to make the playoffs, one more year of having a high draft pick and then try to compete from there.
Less than half way on the season and playoff spots are being discussed already…
Mr. Hawkey, I'm loving what the Canadians are doing right now. They are all playing well, and it's nice to see Kirby Dach doing what he can do along with Patrick Liane and our other superstars, Montanbault, Suzuki and Caulfield. They are a really fun team to watch now. I was in Mexico in 1993 when the Canadians won the last cup that Canada has won, so it's about time to get on to the next one.
#CanadaNeedsCup
If I'm being really honest: #YYZNeedsCup
The Canadiens are like Ferrari in F1 but to hockey. If you know you know
I would like to shout out to all the "fans" who were calling for St. Louis to be fired. Scotty Bowman himself couldn't make this team into a contender. The issues are 3 fold; the team didn't have confidence in one of their goaltenders, the team doesn't score enough and the blue line is very young and thus they allow a lot of high quality scoring chances. The addition of Laine creates 2 lines that are legitimate threats, so the opposition cannot key on Suzuki and Caufield. And the fact that Dobes shut out the Cup champs in his debut gives the team faith that he might be reliable. Winning is contagious, as they began to roll they started to believe in themselves and THAT makes a huge difference. Firing the coach would not have had any lasting effect and would have been a waste of time. Any intelligent fan would know that, but not the panic artists who follow the mob to the castle, carrying torches. Idiots.
lets hope they continue to improve
Been saying to anyone who’d listen they needed Dobes up with the big club. Eventually when it’s Fowler & Dobes in the net, that’s when the Habs will truly be competing for a cup. That’s a few years away with that tandem, but there is light at the end of the tunnel.
The player that shock me this year is Josh anderson he found his good place in the team
3 wins against last 3/4 cup champs💪🏻
From Lane to Laine! This year's team has been super exciting to watch. Biggest surprise has been in nets. I didn't expect us to have a real starting goalie this year, but Montembeault is playing strong and happy to see he made team Canada.
Heineman!
As a Die hard Leafs fan, I can't help but be happy for them, the Canadiens Logo has too much aura for them to be down bad, it's better for hockey when the original 6 teams are on top in my opinion, Montreal isn't going no where anytime soon, I literally make the time to watch them play because they play like a family, anyone who's been watching them recently can see how bad they want this, it's like they refuse to lose lmao, fighting for every loose puck, finishing every hit, it's just nice to see. Happy for them, hope my Leafs stop playing around and get it done this year tho
Emil Heinemen came out of absolutley no where and started getting point per games
As the season goes long youth becomes important
I always respected Marty back when he played for the Bolts.
Heineman is the goat ❤❤
The guy who's impressed me the most has been Alexandre Carrier. He's stepped in and immediately become our number four d-man. That's not easy. I'm never nervous when I see him on the ice. For a while now I've been looking at the depth chart and wondering, in the best case scenario where Reinbacher overcomes injuries and pressure to hit the ceiling they foresee for him, who would play on that second pairing right side with Guhle. For the next two years, minimum, it looks like Carrier should be that guy. He'll be just shy of 31 when his contract is up, so an extension isn't out of the question either.
The bottom 2 lines are all killing it. My most pleasant surprises are Heinemann, Evans, and Carrier. They are finally playing like a team that want's to win. Keep it up boys!
Great to see them start to get some quality well deserved wins under their belt . Huge learning curve and pressure to which the coaches and the players have responded admirably too .
To think this is Habs with Patrick Laine back in the lineup and pre-Demidov… They're definitely a guilty pleasure for me to watch as an Oilers fan since they wrecked the Panthers in their house and im super excited to see their future too
Don't forget Carrier. Kent hughes fleeced Barry trots
Caufield suzuki slaf

Newhook hage heinamen
