Known for being one of the first women in NASCAR, Danica Patrick needs no introduction. Whether it’s her pole position from 11 years ago or making big strides in the world of Formula 1, Patrick has done it all. A different side to her is one that sees her come under the spotlight for her outspoken nature, and this time, Danica Patrick is back again with massive claims against a massive fast-food chain, McDonalds.

Taking to Instagram, Patrick posted a scathing comment about McDonald’s fries, and spoke about it extensively on social media.

Danica Patrick has profoundly influenced NASCAR as a pioneer for women in the sport. But, since her retirement, one of the things she became famous for was her controversial takes. And, as ever, she is not afraid to speak her mind. Recently, Danica Patrick posted a picture of her fries from McDonalds, the $210 billion giant, with ingredients that shouldn’t have been there: “larvae, bugs, and dirt.“

She shared her feelings about the chain in a conversation with Sean Mike Kelly on Instagram. She mentioned the use of beef tallow and added, “I know I have seen these before. I almost bought them, but I was traveling, and I was wondering what to do with them. I actually cook with them now. They have got sprays and stuff. Imagine if McDonalds became healthy. Everybody has the ability to evolve. If your business isn’t working the way it is, or if something’s coming down the pipeline that will take away the business you have, just evolve.”

It is worth mentioning that awareness of the risks associated with ultra-processed foods has grown in recent years. Countries like the UK have removed some of the dangerous ingredients and reduced the calories in high-calorie items. Danica Patrick emphasizes healthy eating and often chooses organic options. She advises against low-nutritional or potentially inflammatory foods, recommending whole foods like apples over processed items. While she acknowledges the benefits of juicing for vitamins, she prefers whole fruits and vegetables for their fiber.

“A good way to look at food is, if the sun made it, then it’s probably good for you,” she once said. “Things that are made in a factory, that are in a box, they’re not made by the sun. In contrast, if you go pick an apple off of a tree, the sun made that, and you know it will add to your well-being.”

She also considers eggs a nutritious and convenient fast-food option and always has them in her fridge. “It’s very important for me to have them around. Whether my husband and I are at home or traveling and staying with friends or on the bus I stay in for races, there’s always like three 18-packs of eggs in the fridge. They’re just a good, clean, easy, fast food.” Not just this, but Patrick also advocated for cooking at home

In 2018, she published “Pretty Intense: The 90-Day Mind, Body and Food Plan that will absolutely Change Your Life.” In her book, she asserts that ‘having a positive mindset is the first and most important step’ toward achieving personal goals. She emphasizes ‘the significance of physical health,’ recommending regular exercise to enhance well-being and energy.
