Rakeel was one of the players I wanted to see bounce back this year. It awesome to see!!!

Being on Crosby's line makes a world of difference.
What is the identity of this team? If Sid is flying and throwing the puck around, he raises Rakell and Rust up, Malkin has been just ok? There's been some scoring from the bottom six but not enough. The defense is either hot or really cold, and the goalies are hit and miss. If teams shut down Sid, they generally lose. On the nights they lose the wheels completely fall off the bus. While the hot streak was nice and perhaps was a bit of a gut check from the players, I think the win one lose one is who they are. They usually take 10 minutes to engage in a game, almost 2 periods to find their game, and 20 minutes of frantic hockey that decides the game. I'm still waiting for Dubas to do something that helps this team, I am still waiting for Sullivan to do something to help this team. With Florida and Carolina on the horizon, their ID will be clear. Lastly, there should be a line switch for Bunting and Rust, Bunting brings energy, possession, grit, aggression, and from what I've seen chemistry with Sid. Rust has showed chemistry with Geno in the past, make the change.
I'm still hung up on that bs noncall to Seider for interference on Rust that allowed the Wings to score the game-winning goal on the PP.. it should have been 4 on 4 followed by 40 secs of PP time for Pitts.. had the refs not blown that call, the Pens easily could have won that game and we'd be talking about how they're in the wildcard spot right now… Infuriating
