Why JJ McCarthy would be PERFECT for the Cleveland Browns in Kevin Stefanski’s offense

JJ McCarthy was drafted 10th overall by the Minnesota Vikings in last year’s draft and never saw the field officially during his rookie campaign due to injury. The Vikings turned to veteran QB Sam Darnold without much expectation of how well he would play and how their season would turn out. Fast forward, the Minnesota Vikings will play their week 18 matchup with the opportunity to be the #1 overall seed in the NFC, a team led by Sam Darnold.

Darnold is in the midst of a career year in Minnesota, and though he’s scheduled to become a free agent this offseason, many believe that Sam Darnold could cash in on a huge payday despite having rookie JJ McCarthy on their roster and waiting in the wings.

This leads to the question: Should the Cleveland Browns consider a trade for JJ McCarthy if the Minnesota Vikings would entertain it?

  1. Oh boy. Stop with the old arse Cousins reunion lol. The front office and, majority of the coaching staff including Preventski need fire now. 😂

  2. Most teams build around there qb….but not the Cleveland Clowns. Nah. The Cleveland Clowns say we're going to build around our head coach that only had 2 winning seasons out of five 🤣🤣🤣

  3. Gentlemen just sign Justin fields and put him in Stefanski’s system. Build around the defensive line and oline. Draft Milroe in the 3rd round, b/c he’ll fall that far. We need Carter from PSU or Graham from Xichigan, also need a running back and tight end this year. We need to get back to 12 personnel. We need an actual slot receiver like restrapo Miami. Iowa’s MLB is a solid day 3 guy if not late day 2. Georgia safety played like crap against Notre Dame.

  4. This is absurd, there is no way that the Vikings are going to give up the future of their organization to the Browns. Instead of trying to steal a player from some other team, why not just draft and develop their own quarterback. There is no shortcuts for longterm success, as we have discovered the last 3 years.

  5. No one wants old Kirk,we need to go back to the playbook Kevin was having at least some success with and draft and develop a QB,i do agree get rid of everyone in the QB room DTR,zappe, Winston and Watson

  6. we are not getting jj 😂😂 we going to bring in a vet or draft a qb or both and watson will be on the roster next year and will show up as a pro
