  1. Santander! Santander!

Jays offering 4 for 80? We go 4 for 90.

Makes the most sense to me. Posey wants character, Flarhety is a problem.

We have a ton of money that we aren’t giving to Burnes. Rather have a 30 hr guy than another yacht for the Johnson’s.

Eff them picks. Also, a little talked about fact with the Dodger juggernaut is that they are gonna be old as F real fast. Mookie, Freddie, and Shohei are 1 twisted knee away from rapidly declining. Things change fast.

  2. I'd say just sign Jesse Winker for a 1 year like $3 million contract to platoon the DH slot with Jerar and call it a day. I like the idea of Roki Sasaki but I don't think the Giants can handle tanking their promising IFA class for him. There's no way considering how this offseason has gone and how the D-Back and Dodgers have bulked up that the Giants can even functionally be a win now team even in the expanded playoff format.

I'm skeptical of Santander even though it would be really nice to have a switch hitter in the lineup that actually has some pop. I'm just really weary of giving up picks, because the Snell deal pretty much cooked our 2024 draft class for virtually no reason.

I would love to see the Giants go all in on their young prosepcts on the cusp like the Nationals did, these guys NEED development. I'm praying that Luciano can just tap into his raw power in Spring Training, it would be fucking fantastic to see him win that DH spot out of camp.

I'm hoping that mid-season (or hopefully even during the spring) we can be sellers and use to likes of Yaz, Lamonte, Wilmer, and Doval to bolster the farm system with middle tier prospects, and let our in house guys cook like Matos, McCray and Schmitt. Our focus on the trade market should be accumulating prospects by offering up guys who have complimentary big league value to teams that want to compete.

I'd love to see Buster go claim Diego Cartaya off waivers, there's literally no reason not to.

I see a core of Chapman, Adames, Lee and Fitzgerald in the field and Webb, Harrison, Hicks, and Walker on the mound. That's just not good enough to compete with the Dodgers, D-Backs, Phillies, Braves, Mets, Cubs etc.

  3. If I'm the Giants I sign Bregman and move Fitzgerald to OF. The infield would literally be the best in the league in the last decade. Plus this theoretical infield would be injury proof with Schmitt at utility of MIF/1B/LF and the National League DH (which exists).

  4. I'm with you on that Dan, Alonzo would be great but it's like putting a round peg in a square hole. We only put him on a long term if we do actually trade Eldridge for some quality talent long term, and I still don't think that's a good idea.
