  1. Their travel team must be fucking idiots to leave the day before the game when you know that a significant ice storm is inbound today.

    Like I’m home for winter break from Kansas and even I knew this was going to be bad.

  2. They’ve been hyping this storm up all week in KC. Can’t imagine how it possibly could have snuck up on the Chiefs. I will say, though, that I’ve never experienced the roads getting this bad this fast.

  7. If they don’t show up, that’s absolutely a forfeit. Fuck them if they can’t prepare for inclement weather.

  8. If they can’t make it and can’t reasonably reschedule by next week would the Chiefs have to forfeit or give up their bye week?

  11. Would be the most broncos thing to not just back into the playoffs, but make it because the game got cancelled because the Chiefs couldn’t fly to Denver.

  15. I’m really curious to see how the NFL handles this and/or if the Miami & Cincinnati games affect it at all.

    Trying to delay the game is less than ideal, given the time frame. Given what the article said about the impossibility of flying out tomorrow afternoon, we’re at best talking about a Monday night game with a jet-lagged Chiefs team. It could be moved to Tuesday or Wednesday, but if the Broncos win & make it in they would have way too little rest for a playoff game.

    Save for maybe Carson Wentz, I imagine most of the Chiefs would have no issues with forfeiting & taking the L. They get out of Week 18 without any injuries & it’s not like they would lose the 1 seed. But the last playoff spot being decided on a weather-related forfeit would be a PR nightmare for the NFL.

    If Cincy & Miami both lose, perhaps that’s an option as the Broncos would be locked into seed 7. But otherwise, I don’t really see a great option here.

  16. I could totally see the NFL move us to Monday or Tuesday, and make us play the wildcard round in a short week, while the Chiefs see no repercussions for bitching their travel plans

  19. I know it won’t happen but Im manifesting them not being able to leave KC and forfeiting. That would be a hilarious way to get in to the playoffs.

  21. I live in far western Kansas, and the ice is terrible here. Can’t imagine what it’s like the further east you get. Guess they’ll just have to forfeit 🤗 Go Broncos 🐎

  26. Broncos win cheats have to forfeit oops I forgot roger good ol goodell will reschedule for next week a hole anything to help the cheats out. Or the cheats could just give the win to Denver

  34. Why wouldn’t you fly last night? Everyone in earth knew there was a storm and would be issues. Games being played here….they have a bye and could care less.

  36. I wonder, would they wait for the scores of the bengals and Dolphins? If they both lose we automatically are in even if we lose. But if either win then I guess they have to play. Right? (Obviously if that would end up happening)
