    Idk how we won this one, but Kuemper was fantastic.

  5. Throughout most of this game I kept thinking “Tampa is just straight up a better team than the Kings”. But the Kings found a way. Kuemper stood on his head when he needed to, Edmundson fell on his, etc. Good win against a team that tends to give us trouble. Looking a lot stronger right now than at this same time last year.

  8. Really hard fought win. This team’s character and heart has been winning games for the Kings. Again not the prettiest but fuck I’ll take the points.

  19. There’s something really going right with the Kings. Even with Doughty healthy I’ll admit I don’t think we’re a top-five team on paper, but whatever Hiller is selling the team seems to be really buying…and it helps that Byfield is going again and Turcotte is playing consistently.

  22. Mikey was unreal in this game. Even if you take away his goal, he was easily one of our most impactful players. Dude was an animal out there. Kuemper made some huge saves, as well.

    Got dominated a bit period 2, but they came back and played a great 3rd. Glad to see Eddy on the bench late in the game as well, that was a super scary fall. Holy shit the Lightning are good lol, great +2. Grats to the American Hero for 1,000 games. GKG

  23. Great win, Kempe making it happen. Great goaltending Kuemper has been playing awesome and defense was solid!!!!! Go Kings Go!!!!!

  25. that turcotte kempe goal was smooth. good win against a strong team but we looked asleep for chunks of the game against a team on the second half of a b2b.

  31. 9 in a row in the home barn! That was a grind but we have to find a way to win ones like that. Defense and Darcy kept us in it. Pretty sure I’m on the roof right now. I about jumped through the ceiling on that KEMPE goal.

  35. A few points…

    Playoff like game.

    For the first time in a long time we have a legit number 1 keeper. He’s so positionally sound and makes big saves all the time.

    Team defense is not all the way there but we’re not even at the halfway point and no Doughty yet. Helluva a lot better than it’s been in years

    Love the PK.

    Great to see Carts back for Lewis’s 1,000th game and congrats to 61.

    Blake’s off season moves look better every game.

  37. Something about this team is special man, didn’t play their best tonight and still managed to come away with 2 points and that’s what good teams do. Making Staples one of the hardest buildings in the league to play in. Was also awesome seeing Brownie, Muzzin, and Carts in attendance for Lewis’ 1000

  39. All this team needs is a very VERY mediocre powerplay. If we achieve that, we are cup contenders.
