  1. ABSOLUTELY THE CORRECT CALL!!! YOUR PLAYER TRIPPED BENSON WHICH MADE HIM FALL BACK INTO THE GOALIE. THE PLAY WAS NOT STOPPED BECAUSE BENSON GOT UP IMMEDIATELY AFTER AND CLEARED THE CREASE.

  2. This group of guys is the embodiment of hard work, mental toughness and perseverance. And I can't say enough good things about Jared Bednar. We are so fortunate to have such a humble and solid coach. Let's hoist Lord Stanley's cup again this year! GO AVS!

  3. Benson skated himself into the crease and tried to make a quick turn out and collided with Kelly. Kelly didn’t hit him into Wedgwood it was incidental contact

  4. That game might have had the WORST referee performance of all time, might not have been goalie interference BUT BLOW THE WHISTLE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, HE IS INJURED!

  5. Ref in Florida game where Zednik got his throat cut: "I didn't blow the whistle because he was injured by his own player!"

    Idiotic reasoning.

  6. I thought the Ref should have stopped play for injury. But no the refs let the play go. Like Bednar said not upset at the scoring on the play but the hurt player should have the play stopped after the puck went wide to the corner.

  7. Sorry but u are wrong..How do u know the goalie was faking it. The goalie wasnt in immediate danger. No head injury, how many times a guy gets beaned with the puck crawling around and theres no whistle. If a players helmet comes off a immediate whistle. Not if a HOCKEY player is holding ankle. Keep crying

  8. Mad now, but okay when Kadri ran Binnington and knocked him out of playoffs as Avs went on to win Cup. Maybe taken more serious wearing his flat bill hat.

  9. “If the puck is in play in front of the net, then fine…”

Puck was still in play and near the net. Only took a couple seconds from injury to goal. Shit, has nobody ever seen a playoff game? They never blow the whistle for injuries, even if the puck is cleared…

  10. Is the goalie out for the season? The Av dude was in the net. They don’t blow the whistle unless the blade falls off. They don’t care if the goalie has bare hands to stop a 100 mph slap shot.

  11. The applicable rule is 8.1, which states: "When a player is injured so that he cannot continue to play or go to his bench, the play shall not be stopped until the injured player’s team has secured control of the puck. If the player’s team is in control of the puck at the time of injury, play shall be stopped immediately unless his team is in a scoring position."

  12. The reason the Ref did not stop the play because Colorado Player #17 caused Buffalo Player #9 to into Wedgewood. #17 for Colorado caused #9 for Buffalo to fall over, which led to Wedgewood's injury. Since the helmet of the Goaltender did NOT come off during the play, it must continue until Colorado has control of the puck, since Colorado never got control play MUST continue which allowed Buffalo to score. Yes, many fans believe the play should have been stopped for Goalie injury even if the helmet did not fall off since the Goalie kinda can't save anything during the play. But the Colorado Player #17 was the main cause of the #9 fall if you go back to any game in NHL history when a player gets hurt from blocking a shot or a goalie gets hurt the refs will NOT stop playing until the Team with the injured player stops playing. Welcome to the Rules of the NHL.

  13. I get why Bednar is upset…. but… I also get why the refs made the call they did. Also for Benson, he barely even looked in the direction of the net, he had zero clue Wedgewood was injured so that's why he celebrated. I like that Bednar isn't throwing Benson under the bus, he acknowledges it isn't his fault and that their own guy caused it, rare for a coach to publicly take accountability for their own players like that.

  14. I love Hockey. Always have. Players are so gracious, humble and respectful. Nobody is flashing their diamonds or gesturing hand pistols. Hockey is the only sport I have left. Too much respect. Goose out.🇺🇸🦅🙏🏼 let’s go boys!!!!! AVS forever!!!!! 🦅🇺🇸🙏🏼

  15. That rule is in place for a reason. "Too stop players from faking injuries to get the play blown dead" so his team had to touch the puck first. Just some with an injury from a blocked shot.

  16. Learn the rules. All of you who are bitchin are wrong. Makar deserved a diving penalty too. How did the worst team in the league nearly beat the avs???
