1. Part of what erodes both team and fan morale is that everyone has to depend on whatever rumors or (supposed) inside information that reporters or 'insiders' claim to have.
   There is no substitute for a management that is open and direct with players and fans, from the off season onwards – and we've had the morale killing opposite of that.
   Team has been playing better the last few games, though not where they need to be.

2. The only rentals NYR have is Lindgren, Borgen, and Vesey. Not getting much back on those rentals.

I like the unload plan, the GM and Coach have no fault of why certain player are not playing to expectation just get rid of those that are inconsistent and build from what they will end up with because this team have been playing confused Hockey and please build with size and physicality and this means play the game but at the same time protect team mates from the aggressor.

4. I think it's pretty clear that the Rangers don't have that in-house hockey mind that knows how to build and develop a contender. The team does occasionally do well, like the last couple years or 2012, but IMO its not because the teams are build well. Its because of the star power the Rangers are able to attract and the unreal Goalies we've had. Been watching this team since they signed Jagr, and it's kinda always the same song and dance, and it's getting kinda old. Aging vets underperform and play without pace, but still get all the minutes. Kids relegated to the 3rd or 4th line, because of the hockey code. Trade away 1st rounders to add to a product that really isn't that good, proceed to lose and now you have no prospects. Things have gotten a tiny bit better, we aren't trading our 1st for over the hill vets anymore, but I'm still not convinced this Franchise has turn the page since the letter. I think they still believe in their team building model, despite it being crap for 50+ years.

5. Dolan needs to hire Messier as team President. Hire Mike Keenan as an advisor to Messier. Drury can keep his job but has to answer to Messier. Finally hire Joel Quenneville . 2006 is a long time ago when Laviolette won his only cup I think Quenneville is the perfect presence to have behind the bench. He deserves a second chance. With these hockey minds in the fold I believe the organization will be in great hands. I would also hire Scott Stevens as an assistant coach to run the defense

6. We needed to upgrade the defense this past offseason and Drury failed. He should've traded Lindgren and Miller once Trouba blocked the trade and then signed Pesce and Chychrun two players who were talked about acquiring by Rangers fans last season.

7. Mika and Kreider are not and will never be superstars. We’ve tried how many wingers with them?… it’s not the wing that needs improvement it’s the C1 and L1!!! Wonder what Laffy could do if he got to play his position that he’s played his entire life. There’s a huge difference playing on the opo especially in the defensive zone.

8. There’s some moves needed that Ranger fans won’t be able to handle. Fox for example. He’s an insanely talented offensive defenseman, with high hockey IQ. He unfortunately is also insanely soft and not a playoff hockey player. With a goalie like Igor, they need to build a heavy team with one big fish. If the rangers had Panarin in 2014, they likely win the cup. That team had all grit, but no stardom. This team just needs one star that can score, build role players around that, strong dcore, Igor in the net..bingo bango bongo

9. so the plan is to move, high priced, underachieving contracts to other team's for younger players and picks.
   who would want to do that? would you? be honest.

10. When it comes to ESPN and hockey. I don't really trust them. That's one sport's media outlet that doesn't really follow hockey all that well. The problem with a multi-sport media network that covers all sports, tend to slack in order area's. I stopped listen to espn talk about hockey after Barry Melrose left. The Mullet man himself. Messier public statement should've been a wake call to Dolan. This current management and coaching staff just isn't cutting it.

11. Keeping Drury & Laviolette around to fashion a competitive lineup does not excite me at all. The idea that a "big fish" will solve the problem is absurd. One player does not make a team. The problem in Free Agency is that teams tend to overspend on the big fish. which leaves less money for the little fish a team needs. Rangers have no second rounders for the next three years! And you are right, trading these picks for rentals is totally stupid. Rebuilding the D is job #1. I think we can count on Mancini next year & Robertson seems to have upped his game in Hartford & should be given an audition in the bigs soon. Jones should be moved out for a pick or prospect & Borgen, Vakk & Robertson can be rotated in & out from game to game so they all get playing time. Schneider should ge playing with Fox as a first pair & that hasn't happened yet. Lindgren & Miller are trade bait probably at the trade deadline for prospects or picks.

12. my brother in christ drury has done everything right for a core of players he didnt sign a single one of except troch they were a top team in the league all 3 years he had to get rentals to try and help get this shit roster over the hump blaming drury is incredibly stupid hes had barley any cap space and a bunch of players he didnt sign stop blaming thr gm for an underperforming team

13. the management has decided hockey fans don't matter. They are going to make this work rather they gut the team, gut the fan base or both. They know best, that is why they have failed for 50 years in a row, because they know best…….

18. The fault is with James Dolan. He is a basketball guy. He knows nothing about hockey. And he knows nothing about hiring the right people to be the GM and coach. Dolan is a cancer and until he relinquishes control of the Rangers this team will continue to flounder at the bottom of the standings and be the laughing stock of the league.
