1. Hard not to like this move. Low risk and potential for high reward. Now call up Othmann and let the kids play!

2. Wow!!! As soon as I heard the Kings put him on waivers I said to myself "The Rangers should claim him immediately!!" And it happened!!! I'm very happy….there were rumors that the rangers were gonna trade kakko for him….Great pickup!!!

3. Kings fans say he's a clone of 1 trick Mik a 1 timer on the pp and no more . I don't see the risk really but I'm not expecting much.

12. I like this move as well it seems like drury might be giving the younger players more of a shot and the special teams is the biggest weakness beside the PK so hopefully he brings them back to being a better powerplay team like last year

15. Nice move. Still dosent address our defense. Would like to see him with Arty and have laffy on the 3rd. It's a lost season still but its good were adding smaller pieces… Borgen Miller Lindgren and smith should all be moved…. as of krider and Mika. I dont think we should trade them still. Look at how Dallas has handled the benn and Seguin "decline". It's just s comparable. I think Laffy should be considered movable… no way Arty will resign if we are rebuilding…meaning this year is a retool and I guess going all in next year…just makes me feel it's better doing a rebuild here… if you look at SJ they held on to key players still and it kinda acts to just eat cap space… meaning if I was gm… trading Arty and laffy and rebuilding around vinny and Mika….if krider is injured he won't get traded also meaning Lindgren will prob just walk… no way were making the playoffs….look at what cgy did….they are still competitive with less fancy toys…that allows you to clearly see what the team needs and it will be easily addressed… teams that run it back tend to run in the same problems/not able to keep up with production… nice move… still should be sellers at the deadline….

16. Kaliev is a good replacement for Kakko with similar numbers at less than half the price. Hope he does well in New York City.

17. So how does this differ from letting Kakko pay offense and find himself?… Kaiser is not hurt he's going and so is Zijanisbad and theMiller

18. Why don't they spend time with Rempe full time so he can develop and stop wasting him.. He brings attitude and can establish and team identity
