  2. I’m pretty sure the concept of Defend is integral to the position of Defenseman. Where exactly is any hockey IQ when time and time again you deliver a mindless pass to an opponent? For Christ’s sake, under three minutes for the W and you screw your team over?

  7. Laviolette you are joke of a coach. Any and I mean any coach would be better than you. You know how as a ignorant fan I can say this with such certainty? Because any other coach in any sport would have benched the guy who cost his team the win. YOU SAID HOLD MY BEER ……I GOT THIS AND THREW HIM RIGHT BACK OUT THERE! So either you are a lame duck coach who is just name plate on a door as was the case in Washington. Or you generally are just an idiot and shouldn't have a job coaching professional hockey players. I torn between the 2 options.
    How about this simple tactic to show us fans you are actually in charge ….the next guy to be directly responsible for a turnover that leads to a goal against just sit them. I know that is earth shattering. But otherwise this is so obvious a tank for Hagens. And out of personal pride you should quit just like your players have. What a pathetic way to end your coaching career. 2 of the worst collapses between washington and now us. This one is going to go down in the history of this sport. I am not sure I would want that stapled to my resume.

  8. This is the same old story. The coach should see the deficiency and address it every period. You can't go up 3-0 and allow your forwards to play lose on defense. This game & many others are on the coach & staff. I wonder if Pete ever told Miller to clear the crease and get physical. Has he told Zban to clean up his defense and careless brain fart passes.

  10. This coach was obviously promised job security. He delivers the same meaningless word salads and NEVER addresses any of the glaring issues that plague this team. Also, the youngsters on this team and within this organization are handled horribly. Unless upper management is forcing their decisions, this whole coaching staff is absolutely pathetic.

  11. Miller is lazy and looks uninspired.Doesnt seem like he has as passion for hockey. Overall, the defense is awful. They’re so soft and easy to play against fox is as soft as they come. He’s great when he’s playing a team like Chicago when he has time and space to slowly work the puck around, but you put him up against a real team And he’s a liability.Slow and soft

  15. I am going to say it. That’s it, gallant is a better coach than laviolette. I don’t know how this dude is one of the winningest coaches. How can gallant bring us to 2 playoff series & laviolette can’t

  17. Do you still have the face to show on tv???? If I was you and your players, I'll stop to release interview and I would start to play a fucking hard hockey on the ice instead of skating like dancers

  18. I’m glad we got a point out of this, against a good team. But this was at home, with a 3 goal lead at one point and a one goal lead with only 2.5 minutes to go. So, while we have improved in our last few matches, this OT loss feels like a regular loss. It also cost Quick a chance to get his 400th win in front of a home crowd.

    For the love of God, when are we going to learn to defend?
