  1. What he said isn't wrong. As a Mets fan we haven't had an owner be all in, in this way. All he's saying is come out and support this effort. I had already planned on going to more games.

  2. Billionaire expects/demands those that lived through 30 percent inflation since 2021 to drop money on 15 dollar beers and 20 dollar burgers w 100 dollar parking. How about win something for the first time in 40 years?

  3. Anyone who has an issue with Cohens comments doesn’t know how businesses works

He’s spending to make you fans happy and since you fans are still complaining, he’s going to learn to stop spending, and then y’all will still complain

If price was truly an issue then the Yankees and dodgers wouldn’t be selling out every game

  4. Gtfoh with this clickbait. Steve Cohen has said that the stadium will never have a roof because it's too expensive. And he just said he was disappointed at the attendance bc they were in a pennant race, but more fans are buying tickets this year bc of Soto and the playoff run last year. There was no hype behind this team last year because it was a rebuild year and nobody expected them to do what they did. People buy tickets in advance before the season starts most of the time and this year you bet your ass there are going to be a lot of people in those seats.

  5. Regarding the attendance, the Mets just don’t have as many fans as the Red Sox, Dodgers, Phillies, Braves, etc. bc the Mets have to share NY’s fan base with the Yankees. 2/3 of New Yorkers are Yankees fan, which means only 1/3 of the state roots for the Mets. So the Yankees are always going to have 2x as many people showing up and 2x as much revenue. Same with the Red Sox, Phillies, Braves, and many others. They all exclusively own their entire city for themselves.

  6. I don’t have an issue with his comments because I understand that he can’t have the team losing money every year. But that’s not going to make me spend my hard money. For my family of 3 tickets cost a total of 300 to 400. Then to feed them and with parking is another 150. I can go to 2 nice restaurants for that type of money. People choose to spent them money how they want.

  7. Getting through the 1st 10 mins to get to the point was painful. How do people just listen to this straight through? Anyways Cohen is right. Every single team in this area costs alot to go to games and theyre always filled up. This includes the Islanders, Nets, Liberty and Devils. Mets attendance was terrible last yr. How do Yankees and Knicks fans afford the tix? Mets fans wanted the owner to step up and he has. If you dont show up then dont complain when he doesnt get players you want. In this situation the fans arent right.

  8. Look here is one thing wrong with MLB or Amazon streaming I like outside of Nashville 5 hours away from Atlanta..5 hours away from Cincinnati (both in different time zones) and am blacked out by home team bullshit when the Mets play either team even though I pay for the subscription. Oh yeah St Louis is 3 1/2 hours away and in the same time zone and I can watch those games…vpn I guess
