RIP LEGEND
Buy Mike a drink and get his dog one to…
I don't know whether to cry or wind my watch. RIP Mr. Lange
The definition of a class act
"Ladies and gentlemen. Elvis… has just… left… the building!"
Mike Lange, Myron Cope, Bob Prince, Lanny Frattare, and Greg Brown. They all had a repertoire of distinctive, colorful, and memorable phrases. The "Lange-isms" will never be forgotten. Of course, Myron Cope is responsible for the Terrible Towels that we Yinzers wave proudly.
I got the chance to do play by play for the team I was working for and used many of his quirky sayings when the team would score. When the game was over and the team won, I said "And elvis has left the building" ! rest in peace, Mike. Thank you for the memories.
Mike Lange was such a great hockey broadcaster! Thanks for the great years and entertaining play-by-play. Rest in peace
RIP Mike . Thanks for everything . I grew up watching and listening to you and you helped create a Hockey Fan in me .
Rip Mike. Thx for everything
Legends never die
Get in the fast lane grandma, the bingo games ready to roll.
Scratch my back with a hacksaw.
Oh Michael, Michael motorcycle.
Thank you Mike for the memories
We have been so spoiled to see sports legends in this town over the years in all sports. Mike Lange is right up there with the best of them. We were so fortunate to get to hear him call penguins games for so many years. RIP Mike.
I am heartbroken
Won't be the same without him RIP Mike
Dam if possible would love to see him hanging up on the rafters like the Stanley Cup titles in Mike Lange year of his first day to year of last day
Slap me silly Sidney!
There was something spine-tingling about the way he would drag out and deliver his phrase "HHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE SHOOTS AND SCORES" that I will forever be fond of and thankful to have experienced. He has been dearly missed, but the current Penguins broadcasters are upholding the mantle very well in my opinion.
Rest in peace. You will be missed
Capitals fan here, I hated the Pittsburgh Penguins , but I absolutely loved Mike Lange's calls. He will be sorely missed.
Mike Lange is and always will be my favorite play-by-play broadcaster ever because of his famous sayings. RIP Mikey. You’re forever a Pittsburgh legend
MIKE LANGEEEEE NOOOOOOOOOO
make me a milkshake Malkin! Man, this one hurts.
R.I.P Mike Lange you will always be a legend dead or alive. The nhl will never be the same without you. Have fun the afterlife.
I can't even think what to say i would alway turn down national coverage when penguins got popular and turn up mike . He words are as in grained in the penguin history as the pictures. To me the Stanley Cup win wasn't official until mike made his call. God we are going to miss you
Scratch my back with a hacksaw! As a Canadian kid, was introduced to Mike Lange through hockey blooper VHS tapes in the late 80's and he instantly became a favourite.
