EXTREMELY RARE Own goal awarded to penalized player
In an extremely rare moment, Kevin Stenlund is awarded a goal as the last Utah player to touch the puck prior to an own goal, despite being called for a delayed high-sticking penalty.

Wow never seen anything like that
Buffalo in a nutshell
Not rare at all
LOL oh Buffalo…
Average Sabres moment
That was crazy!! I was watching the game.
One of those NHL videos that’s gonna get 1-2 million views
Can't think of a more deserving team of such embarrassment.
Love the vocal reaction of that color commentator saying "Give him the puck!" in a livid and bothered manner.
the good ole loui eriksson special
When Byram shoved McBain was that just because of McBain sweeping Byram's stick aside or did Byram think McBain was also who high sticked him?
Now how do you recover for that
Rob Ray was livid
. I I’ve never understood why the team that has possession of the puck just doesn’t give it to the other team so you can get the whistle and get as much time as you came with the two man advantage. I don’t understand why you’re trying to score. I don’t get it.
Charlotte Hornets equivalent
Knew it was going to be Buffalo just by reading the headline
Buffalo fans truly are god’s strongest soldiers
HAHAHA
Buffalo will never not be a funny team to watch
as a soccer and hockey fan i've always hated how there's no own goals in hockey. if a center wins a faceoff directly into his own net, the opposing center gets a goal even though he never touched the puck, it's weird
Enjoy Buffalo hockey
Buffalo doing Buffalo things
incredible really
Yikes. Buffalo doesn't belong in the NHL.
Between this and the goal for Toronto assisted by the fallen ref, been an interesting week!
This is definitely a new one.
You happy Pegula?
I believe the finest of men and women for marriage must exist in Western New York. They are so accustomed to incompetence, failure, and betrayal, that I cannot fathom any action I may perform that would compel them to cast me aside. Forgiveness would be the theme of our holy union, and carry us to a long, perhaps tumultuous, but ultimately successful partnership. And should we deliver children into this world, they too would be prepared for the misgivings and disappointment that occupy so much of our short and meaningless lives in this realm. They would find joy, regardless, and experience fulfillment, whilst others cursed the blunders of their friends, colleagues, and family. Aye, I say, Godspeed to ye hockey faithful of Western New York. It is unlikely your perseverance will ever be rewarded on the cold and unforgiving surface of competition that is the National Hockey League, but it has been noted by those who do not have to endure it, and with great respect, I acknowledge your strength in these trying times.
Utah's first goal scored as a team was an own-goal, and now they get a score on an own-goal while their player sits in the box. This team is truly something.
Goal of the season.
I don't know what's worse an own goal or it happening against a team that can't even work out an identity for itself
Lol, to quote THG…"The most Buffalo thing to ever Buffalo"!
Regardless of record, the Sabres are the worst hockey team to ever exist
Experience Sabres hockey
Buffalo one game gets a goal in a period where they didn't get a shot on net while in another can give an own goal to a penalized player. What a team.
To me it’s ridiculous that an own goal is awarded to the player who last touch the puck even if he has nothing to do with scoring the goal. Why not mark it as ”own goal” like in soccer. It could be even awarded to the player who scored the own goal as negative two points XD.
Weird little detail that only I would notice, utah's goal horn sounds pretty similar to buffalo's, so it sounds like the sabres are celebrating the own goal in a way
What was Dahlin doing? Seemed very lackadaisical on the pass and the pursuit to the puck heading towards the open net.
What did I do in a past life to deserve being a Sabres fan?
Typical Sabres

What an effort by Dahlin! Take notes, kids.
Never seen that before. Similar but not like that. WOW!
I saw this happen in person before, Phoenix Coyotes vs Vancouver Canucks, Viktor Tkihnov gets a penalty and goal
