Packing does stink. Sam rules.
Good on him having that awareness. We’ll miss you Sam!
That’s my GOAT
I’ve always suspected (I know, doesn’t take a great detective) that his illness and sudden missing of playoff games were directly the cause of his retirement. Glad to hear from him directly, and I think he’s right on the money about now being the time. What a legend, MSG will not be able to replace him proper, but I’m sure we’ll enjoy whoever comes after.
Sam is the greatest of all time and it’s not close
glad that he’s going out on his terms and can hopefully have many years to be with his family. still hard to believe we’ll have a different voice of the rangers.
Though I think he could be at the top of his game for another 5 years, he’s been peak Sam Rosen for 40 years and although somber, it adds to his greatness to see him retire at the top of the mountain. We love you Sam

Imagine the ovation he’ll get first game he’s in the stands for at the garden next year
National treasure, we love you Sam!
I love you Sam—thanks for being the person you are.
SAM MY HEART OMFG WE LOVE YOU GOD DAMN RANGERS GET IT TOGETHER FOR SAMWISE
I sure am going to miss him
Very pragmatic. I love him even more after watching this
Sam has been the voice of the Rangers for my entire life and I literally cannot imagine watching them without him. He has given me so many wonderful memories and I hope now he’s able to enjoy his very well-earned retirement for many years to come.
We’ve been so lucky to have him in the booth for so long. Big shoes to fill, hopefully they’re filled with someone the next generation can appreciate like we do Sam.
The best. In my early 50’s so Sam IS the voice of the Rangers for me.
I’m gonna miss this voice for sure. Anytime I have to hear other broadcasters it just makes me cringe and I have to watch the games on mute. Lucky to have had the best, sure gonna miss him moving forward but so so thankful for the memories.
