One thing the FO is doing right

  1. But it looks like we’re being prepared for news that Brunson is going to miss the entire regular season

  2. Idk how I feel about this . I think the big thing is he gets in 4 games before the playoffs .

Brunson is a notorious slow starter to the season, I’m hoping this doesn’t carry over to a long time off like this .

I reckon we can take a look at his Dallas days and his shoulder injury and how he came back

  3. I know its more important that he is healthy obviously but it would be nice for him to play the last 4-5 regular season games so he can qualify for all-nba

  4. I agree with what Ian is saying. He still needs a few games to shake off any rust, if that is the case its all good.

  5. I’m sorry but is the insinuation here that this is one thing the FO got right amongst many errors?

Cause I could make a list of bonafide mistakes this FO had made and it would not be a very long list

  6. They have only a 3 game lead on the Pacers right now and tbh I would not be mad if they slipped to 4th at this point.

  7. Not sure if kidding, but this FO has delivered us into relevance in their tenure. Their glaring mistakes were the Fournier/Kemba moves, Bridges remains to be seen, and not signing Hartenstein to a 3 year deal which wouldve given them his full bird rights. But its hard to punish a FO and coach who significantly increased the value of the player they acquired.

Every other big move was a product of necessity and they returned significant value:
RJ/IQ–>OG –they were not going to be able to give a 20+ million contract to IQ as a backup to JB, and Barrett had his own concerns/looming extension. OG is a commodity in very short supply.
Randle/Divo–> KAT — Knicks werent gonna extend Randle and had a massive hole at C with a pretty dry market. When a player of KATs level becomes available (minnesota wanted to get out from his contract) at the position you need to fill you give up something you dont want to (Divo)

This year has been frustrating despite their large success. I bet Leon thought bridges would cover more of the deficiencies that kat brings on defense, but the KAT/JB weaknesses on D seem to be the big thing preventing us from competing with the top dawgs. We’ll see how they perform in the playoffs because that will tell us whats going to happen in the offseason

  8. As they shouldn’t bring him back for the last 3-4 games and that’s more than okay to get home going again
