New Orleans Saints SHOULD NOT Trade For CAM WARD, No.1 Overall NFL Draft Pick

The New Orleans Saints seem to really like Cam Ward, but should avoid trading up to No. 1 overall in the NFL Draft. Brandin Cooks’ return to the team adds intrigue, promising to bolster the wide receiver corps alongside Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed. Recent draft prospect visits, including offensive lineman Aireontae Ersrry and linebacker Nickolas Martin, highlight the Saints’ focus on strengthening their roster in the draft.

Tulane’s Pro Day showcases standout performances from defensive talents like Adin Huntington, Caleb Ransaw and Patrick Jenkins.

  1. Nothing needs to be said about this, do the Saints have general interest & will attempt to trade up for Ward? Yes, will they be successful? Prbly not, too costly, Titans will be in luv with Ward. The true question, is actually how much interest will Saints have in Sanders after Ward is gone? Trading to 2, is just as costly. The ideal spot is prbly 3, how much would it take to get their pick… are Giants definitely in on Sanders?

  2. I'm gonna put this here: GET RB DEVIN NEAL (KANSAS) SOMEWHERE IN THE 3RD-4TH ROUNDS – We missed on Tyler Allgeier years back and he went to ATL and runs all over us every time we play. Devin Neal will be our version of T.A. from ATL . Explosive, physical, and excellent vision. Don't get @ me until you've watched his film

  3. Get warren or skateeboo sanders dart jenty….thats rnd1……2 …skateeboo milroe dart …ijs…its some weapons if do it right …get wr in free agency before draft ….or free agency rb before draft if not te Who dat …

  4. I don't think Tennessee will draft Ward, they are looking to rectify the lost of Henry. Let Tennessee draft Ward and trade Ashton Jeanty to Tennesse if he falls to #9 and add DC to that trade.

  5. This move is the equivalent of someone saying you can get a race car but you can only choose from one Kia dealership today or the Porsche dealership tomorrow and you choose the Kia dealership

  6. Who would want to play for the Titans? Because that franchise has been a mess since they moved from Houston (Oilers). The best quarterback they ever had while in Tennessee was the late Steve McNair, and after that, their top draft choices this team drafted at quarterback ended up being a journeyman or bust, including Vince Young, Jake Locker, Marcus Mariota, and Will Levis. The Titans need a QB who fits that city and culture, and Ward or Sanders aren't a good fit. The Saints moving up to one is a long shot, and pulling another Ricky Williams-type trade would be a fireable offense if it failed. The best bet is to draft Dart either at 9, which would be a reach, or at 40.

  7. This shouldn’t even be a discussion to trade for Cam. Shedeur could fall right to us at 9. Build around him or just wait for next yr

  8. I can’t believe this is being seriously talked about. The amount we would have to give up, and the number of holes we need to fill is NOT worth it. Ricky Williams 2.0 imo

  9. Also Ross please never colllab with this James skrmetta guy who’s pushing this ward narrative. Dude is a complete hack that just rips off you and nick. Then tries to name himself “the face of the franchise” what a joke

  10. I hope the Saints build up their offensive line and wide receiver corp, sharpen the defense, and rejuvenate the running back room and then trade up to get Arch in 2 years. Set up the rookie QB to succeed. Don't throw a kid to the wolves and hope he can survive a lá Troy Aikman (who went 0-11 his rookie year). That would give the Saints more time to better evaluate Spencer Rattler (who wasn't given a fair chance and might be a Troy Aikman … 0-11 v. 0-7).

  11. Ross, on point. It would be a very big gamble for the Saints to trade up to get Cam Ward. The Saints would have to give up a lot and what if Cam Ward is not that guy, it happens. Like you said, 2026 would be the right time to draft a top QB. Bringing Brandin Cooks back is a plus, just a little over paid, but great move overall.

  12. I think Dart would be a good fit to build around and he and Rattler can fight for #1.
Then we'd have two young QB's that could very well be our #1 and #2 options. Build around them and I think we find success.
I like Rattler tho'. His Off-season work, he is putting it in to build a case for himself

  13. Thanks for sharing Declvin Beal, I'll watch his film and give my thoughts. I like what i hear about Skateeboo too. So that could be our option.
I loke Ohio State Henderson too

  14. @Ross there’s a great, tall, big, clutch QB who knows how to win in the games that count- the big games, the sudden death games, and we can grab him at #71.

    Jeanty, Grant, Howard pls
