  6. I am going to go over on the 120 that Justin set for Jeff saying there is a world. Because you have 162 games, but you also have the extensive draft content where you will have "There is a world where he falls to 27", the trade deadline "There is a world where Mobley, Francisca, + gets you so and so", and all of the other parts of the season where we need to imagine a world where something might happen.

  11. Not that this counts for anything, but Zips projects the both the Guards opening day rotation and lineup as 2nd in the AL Central. If that happens the Guards will win the division again.

  12. interesting predictions! I made mine late but never sent them because it was too late, so…

    1) Guardians, 85-77 due to general regression. with a wildcard spot. I think the LA Dodgers will be a black hole (just in a technical sense) drawing extra wins away from the AL to their gravitation, allowing an AL team to sneak in the playoffs with 85 wins.
    2) No on Jose getting 40-40, for the same reason Jeff gave. That's much too difficult to be expecting it to happen.
    3) I have Shane with 16 starts, just on a whim that he matches Gavin from last year.
    4) believe it or not, I started with allstars of Bibee, Gavin and Jose too, but thought two starters is just too unlikely, so I switched at the last moment to Gavin, Jose, Cade.

    my bold prediction) Noel gets some at-bats at 9th in the order! nice and cozy and protected between Rocchio making more contact and getting on base, and Kwan/Jose/Lane at the top of the order, giving him some marginally better pitches to hit.

  15. I am watching this hearing the 93-69 = 172 talk, and I am like… I know I am tired all the time (Two kids 4 and under!) but I am pretty sure I had that right!

  16. Well until they prove that they are better than their off-season people are cautious how they proceed! We have a lot of ?? That must pan out in order to be better than last year! When Nolan jones is your “ major acquisition “ not a lot to be excited about until they prove it!

  18. Happy opening day! My hot take is that we will have 5 people who hit over 20 HRs. Jose (duh), Jhonk, Zardo, Thomas and Jones. It'll live and die on how many games they actually get to play in platoons

  20. Put on Rookie of the Year for my 5 year old and now he is running around saying “pitcher’s got a big butt” 😂!! Happy opening day of ⚾️ everyone! Go Go Guardians!

  25. Jose batting 2nd was always the optimal choice, especially with his baserunning ability. I think it was an easy sell this time, "sorry you narrowly missed out on 40/40, how would you like more at bats?"

    I expect his RBIs to go down, but counting stats to go up.
