Translated to English:
Steven Stamkos, 35, who captained the Tampa Bay Lightning to two Stanley Cup championships in his career, joined the Nashville Predators this season after the Lightning refused to offer the legend who represented the club for 16 seasons an extension. The Predators' season has been a complete mess, and Stamkos, who has won everything in his career, has not been the scorer he was in recent years. NHL commentator Antti Mäkinen hints in his Kimanttia podcast that the Canadian is now even considering ending his career this season. – Stammer has now announced that he thinks he will put his career on hold after this season and will not return next season, Mäkinen reveals. Stamkos' decision to retire would be surprising news, as the man signed a four-year, $32 million contract with the Predators last summer. – It probably suits Nashville, and they can get rid of that contract somehow. It may be that this season has been quite a disappointment for Stammer. He came from Tampa and had high expectations, but everything went to waste. Maybe he's just mentally exhausted, Mäkinen continues. Stamkos, who won the NHL's scoring title twice, was the Lightning's diamond-hard powerhouse last season, scoring 40 goals in the regular season. This season, the veteran has only found the net 23 times.

Man, I hope that’s not true. This season has definitely been rough, but it’s been rough for everyone. Stammer doesn’t strike me as a guy that would just quit like that
Opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one and some of them stink.
Would be crazy if true. Low end source, but worth keeping an eye on.
Would be crazy and sad for sure. I don’t care if he was making $15 mill, contract is worth it to have him on the team. Should probably be the captain IMO
What connection does this person have to Stamkos? Or really anyone in the NHL for that matter.
He can hit 25 goals still good
As a Tampa fan, there’s just no way this is legit unless he has an injury and goes on LTIR. Otherwise he would have taken Tampa’s low ball offer and could do the same thing. If Stamkos signed for four years, he’s committed to those four years health permitting
Most great athletes have to be dragged away from the game kicking and screaming.
The game is what makes them exceptional in life. Most also have extreme confidence which makes them think they can still get it done.
On the one hand that would be crazy and I don’t want it to happen… On the other hand if the Josi rumblings of retirement were to actually come to fruition, being free of Stamkos’ contract might actually be nice.
I’d love to say I’d prefer to keep him and flip him for a better asset(s) for the rebuild, but I don’t know that I want to see what Trotz can pull in return…
If this was true i dont think we would be reading about it from Finland first
